A great walk round the caldera. It takes about 2:30-3 hours from Fira to Oia. During summer try it only early morning or late afternoon (take a light with you) because all the path is exposed to the sun.

If you have more than a few hours in Santorini, then I definitely recommend that you do this beautiful walk. The trail takes about two hours, potentially a bit more if you stop a lot to take pictures and admire all the beautiful views. The trail offers some really stunning views of the Caldera, and you see it from different... More

My boyfriend and I did this hike in about 3 1/2 hours, including breaks for picture taking and rest. Definitely something to do on a nice day with blue skies as the views are amazing. It was a bit difficult to find the trail...it was not marked. Half the hike was through caldera villages and villas and half was a... More

It takes your breath a way, it looks just like a post card. This is a must see if you're in Santorini.

Our hotel/apartment was just beyond the marble walk in Oia so finding the trail was easy. It is fairly well marked, but it is critical to wear good footwear ( running shoes or hikers....not flip flops) as the trail can get pretty gravelly or rocky along the way. Also, as we went in mid June, I suggest going fairly early... More

literally if you do it fast because of the terrain but mostly because there is nowhere else like it for natural beauty. The caldera is supposed to be the original site of Atlantis. Overlooking the sea for the whole of the hike. spy cruise ships far below, and white washed building set into the cliffs, bright red potted geraniums and... More

Be sure to include on your bucket list of things to do in santorini. Would recommend to all as it is the highlight of the santorini sightseeing walking/ hiking trail be sure to take plenty of water with you as at times it can be quite strenuous and difficult

Great time...we did it several times. We even ran it one morning. It's great to do at night to see all the lights...just don't get lost going home.

We did this walk in the middle of summer. Started early (about 5.30am) in the day. We also walked out to Skaros rock, but if you are unsure I'd leave that out, maybe do it another day (it practically doubled the time to walk, heaps of stairs and the view from the top of the hills was better than from...
