The beach is calm, is a continuation of Agia Anna beach, 2 klm distance. The beach has a wild beauty with green blue crystal water and it seems endless when you look at it. You can find many shops along the beach, bars, cafes, restaurants and pool bars, but without the crowds that you can find in Agios Prokopios or... More

The beach was dirty! There was a huge rat right in front of a beach bar and nobody bothered to clean it! The staff was not helpful and the organized part of the beach is rather small.

Crystal clear water, stunning views and great loungers to rent... what else could you ask for.. they also have a man walking the beach offering professional massages.. and beer to the loungers... I think I'll become a beach comber and just live here 😁

We choose Plaka beach more for convenience. It is an amazing huge sweep of fine sand with lots of little 'pockets' for everyone whether you are a family with children, a couple or a single traveller there are many places to either mix and join with the hoardes or find a quieter more serene stretch to relax and while away... A very large beach with many places to stop and take a dive. Despite the somewhat difficult road along the beach (very narrow and hard to find a parking spot), you will definitely be redeemed with a beautiful beach, which however I rank below Agios Prokopios and Agia Anna. Plaka has the clear benefit of being larger.

We go every year and its just an irresistible spot -if you get one of the tables under the tree its just perfect. Good simple Greek food at a good price, the wine is nice, the staff are pleasant. It wouldn't be Naxos without a visit here.

It is big enough that it doesn't get to crowded, even in the height of the summer, and their are lots of amenities and restaurants to choose from. The dunes near the far end of the beach are lovely and fun for kids to run up and down through.

A long, sandy strip without much character can be a bit windy too. Agia Anna or Agios Prokopios beaches are much nicer.

Great and beautiful beach.. not too far from Naxos port.. about 20 minutes away. Great restaurant /coffee places with pool area for the kids.. you can stay all day there and combine beach and pool!! Was very happy with the relaxed attitude and good service. You can use the sunbeds and umbrellas for free if you just other something. Just... More

We were here, I believe, but on the southern end with no restaurants and bars. So pretty. We were driving down to the south, we had a cooler full of drinks and cheese, bread, olives. We set up and were the only ones there. It was fantastic. Very wavy, the water was gorgeous! Huge rocks were scattered in the water... More
