We loved Plaka beach, with it's tavernas and charm. The snorkling was very good for Greece. We had a lovely day there and it was worth the visit.

From Agia Anna you can walk for several kilometers along the sandy beach, including Plaka Beach. Around Agia Anna you find the families with the children. Behind the chapel there is a small nude beach. And from there onwards there is a mix of textiles and nude people. You can sunbathe, swim or just walk along the beach for hours.... More

Naxos was my absolute favourite place in Greece (we went to Athens, Naxos, Santorini then Crete). This beach was beautiful sand and turquoise water. There are great amenities with tons of restaurants just across the road from the beach. The restaurants will deliver your lunch (and Litres of cheap delicious wine) down to your chairs if you rent a chair... More

Huge long sandy beach. Great for swimming and sunbathing. Lots of parasols and sun-loungers next to tavernas and bars if that's your thing. Otherwise choose a quiet spot, strip off and maximise the tan. When that Meltemi wind blows it can be like a sandblaster, unless you are lucky or cunning enough to have bagged one of the few bushy... This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the privilege to visit. The northern end, near Maragas, has more sunbeds and the southern end towards Mikri Vigla, is mostly just a long stretch of sand. A wonderful combination of sand dunes and cedars hide the beach from the road. Plaka beach is my happy place!

Just when there yesterday. Beatific crystal clear water. Two sun beds with umbrella €6. You can order drinks or you can order food if you desire. If driving there north to south after Agia Anna the road goes from asphalt to become a dirt road. It was Saturday in August so it was somewhat crowded.

Imho the best beach that I have seen in Greece. Easily rivals anything in the Caribbean. The further you walk the better it gets. Try to make it to Mikra Vigla southside as well as also very special.

The beach is long, very nice, white sand, partially organized, not crowded ... but I didn't understand why "Plaka" .... When I entered the water ... I realized that I was walking on a stone "pavement". The sea water is clear and makes you think you are in a swimming pool. If you want to stay on your own, get... More

One of the top beaches in the world voted by trip advisor reviewers and you can see why. Plenty of space and sunbeds x 2/umbrella are 6Euros. Lots of bars/tavernas/shops to suit everyone but the water here is so clear and the beach just gently falls into the sea.

I was staying at a hotel in Plaka and went to the beach every day. It's really beautiful, with soft sand and crystal clear water. There were sunbeds and umbrellas for 5 Euros, and service from the hotel restaurant. I did a bit of snorkeling, but the sea was choppy and the waves made the experience a bit unpleasant. There...
