The beach is long, very nice, white sand, partially organized, not crowded ... but I didn't understand why "Plaka" .... When I entered the water ... I realized that I was walking on a stone "pavement". The sea water is clear and makes you think you are in a swimming pool. If you want to stay on your own, get... More

One of the top beaches in the world voted by trip advisor reviewers and you can see why. Plenty of space and sunbeds x 2/umbrella are 6Euros. Lots of bars/tavernas/shops to suit everyone but the water here is so clear and the beach just gently falls into the sea.

I was staying at a hotel in Plaka and went to the beach every day. It's really beautiful, with soft sand and crystal clear water. There were sunbeds and umbrellas for 5 Euros, and service from the hotel restaurant. I did a bit of snorkeling, but the sea was choppy and the waves made the experience a bit unpleasant. There... round the headland on a boardwalk from Ag Anna gets you to Plaka beach - first a small rocky bay for nudists, then a huge saharan expanse, also mainly nudey but not exclusively. Flat slab of rock in shallow water for the first stretch, then if you keep trudging you get to sand dunes miles down. Maragas in the middlegood... More

This beach is easy to travel too. Its on the main bus route from Naxos Town, the buses run every 1/2 hour from early until very late (2300?) There are bus stops but you can sit in a taverna on the plaka and wait for it and flag it down. But do collect the tickets from the supermarket. Stay on... More

Pretty beach with a lot of cafes and tavernas to choose from. Fresh water showers all along the beach, the ubiquitous umbrellas and chairs for rent. Can get fairly crowded.

This beach is very popular. The sands are mostly soft with some smaller gravel sized rocks on the shoreline. The waves and tide keep those rocks closer to the shore, but about 4 feet in the water it is all soft. There are many cafés and resorts with umbrellas and chairs. All of them have a 'runner' who is happy... More

Plaka is a beautiful long and sandy beach. You can sit on a beach bar umbrella or more private, you can even be nudist if you like, there are more than one places with nudists there. You can do water sports or eat by the sea as there are quite a few restaurants there.

Plaka is a savage beach near AG. Anna where you can also stay naked and nudism is allowed. It's a peaceful, long, sandy beach never crowded with no parking problems. It is something special you have'nt to miss. Incredibly clear water.
