Take the daily liner from mykonos and land into ancient Greece's most sacred place. Walk up the market into up to the Hellenistic marble theater. Take a tour to the temple offered to an ancient Egyptian Goddess, take a tour to the oldest recorded synagogue in the world, then walk down to the temple avenue where temples of Apollo and... More

So cool to learn about the Island of Delos and see where Atemis and Apollo were born! We took a ferry from Old Port, Mykonos and walked around fro about 1 1/2 hours. Follow the path to all the sites and there is a small museum that houses the LIONS. Learned so much about this island that was the center... More

Our tour guide Sophia Stoumpidi ( stomped@yahoo.gr 30 6972871970) was the best guide I have had anywhere in the world. Visiting Delos has always been a dream, and the reality of doing to was even better than dreaming about it. Do use a guide, you will be both educated and delighted. Like Delphi, the whole experience is greater than the... More

15 mins prior to setting off on this tour we were informed there was NO toilet facilities on the island. It is barren! No cafe , shop or anything touristy. The trip on the boat was pleasant enough though.

I love history and this has definitely been the best historical site and tour i have done. Stopped in Mykonos as we were on a cruise and took the boat to the island. Thomson tour guide was brilliant and really made you feel part of it. There is so much to see, outside on the island and within the museum.... More

We went to Delos as part of a cruise ship excursion in Nov. 2014. The island and it's history are fascinating and completely breathtaking. A lot of the site is still intact and many original artifacts can be seen in the museum on the island, including the lions. Most archaeological sites you can't get very close to the ruins, for... Beautifully desolate island full of ruins as well as a museum of artifacts . Try and spend 3 to 4 hours there as I only did 2 and it wasn't enough . Spectacular views.

We did this as a half day trip. Do this excursion as an organized tour, otherwise on your own you will miss much of the explanations of the history. A short morning boat ride drops you off at the dock on the small island and then returns in the early afternoon. This is plenty of time to take a guided... More
