This museum didn't have many items to view which was disappointing. However what it had was very interesting and must see.
We saw one gallery with the help of a wheelchair but other galleries were in another part of the building and we only saw them after a prolonged argument with staff. Museum is being reconstructed, so only a few of the exhibits are available. What is there is excellent.
Under renovations, only a fraction of the collection is available to view, but it is remarkable and informative, and well worth the few Euros to get in.

A natural pairing with the Knossos and Phaistos archaeological sites as the artifacts from these sites are displayed here including tablets with the Linear A script from Minoan peoples. Keep your ticket from Knossos to gain admission here.
