We got there and it was closed, but they were cleaning everything. So, naturally, the creator gave us a free private tour of the whole place for an hour and a half, including a really cool art exhibit. Her English was incredible and then they wouldn't even accept a donation, they were just incredible. Also, surprisingly(?) interesting! I'm normally a... More

Albeit being located in an industrial area, it is beside the printing press itself and is accessible to all who love the written word. Fascinating to see the linotypes and to learn the history of printing. The museum was closed but we called and made an appointment for a private tour, led by a passionate and obliging journalist, Maria. Definitely... More

Though this place is in a tucked away part of the city it had so much to offer. My husband found this place for me as I am a graphic designer obsessed with all things type. If you have any interest in printing, books, or history, GO. Maria was the only person there and gave us our own private tour... More

If you are even a little interested in typography and printing you should see this little museum. For me this is more interesting than archeology and this museum was totally unexpected to be found in Crete. What a nice surprise! :-) We had a great guide and did get the opportunity to try some equipment hands on (great if you... More

One of a kind museum, with rare items, preserved in a way that only real collectors, with passion and respect do... Modern space, hard work of many years presented with real hospitality. Many collections and pieces of art through centuries, a lot of sentiments through senses...it is a jewel fir Chania tiwn and Greece, and of course like all good... More

I have been a number of times in the Museum each time they hold one of their unique cultural events. The museum has a great number of authentic huge exhibits from all over Europe, a replica of the first typography machine by Gutenberg and posters illustrating the world history of writing. The cultural events take place either in the small... More

If you have the address then this is Easy to find from the national road. Take the exit for the industrial park and follow the signs on every junction up the the front door. Very helpful and friendly member of staff there who showed us the working exhibits and videos that helped explain book binding and newspaper printing. It was... More
