We took the extended tour which gave a non stop commentary on hotels on the way up to a lookout site. Nothing on the way back, thankfully. Unfortunately nothing worthy of good comment. Overall, total waste of time and money.

Got the train from Aghios Nikolaos to Kritsa and it was quite enjoyable but photo opportunities few. I feel we could have gone to Kritsa independently on the local bus more cheaply and still not missed much from the train trip. Kritsa is fabulous.

We took excursion 2 which took 70 minutes to travel from the Harbour up to a vantage point from which we could see Spinalonga island. Guide was a very friendly ex-Geordie. Tour was informative and fun, coming back through the streets of Ag Nik. 12 euros per adult. You get a discount voucher for the semi-submersible boat trip and if... More

So glad that you took time to write a review for the little train and George. He has been working with us for about 5 years and his English improves daily. He may be big but he is a softy at heart and if it is in his power to help he will. He was very pleased to hear that... More

Lovely little ride to Plaka. Great views of Spinalonga! Could do with a new sound system though as quite difficult to hear all the commentary!

The excursion that you did is from the village of Elounda not Agios Nikolaos. We are still happy however to hear that you enjoyed the excursion. More

We did a lot of walking and thought we'd covered the area around the town during the week, the train trip took us all over the area and we got to see things we might not have seen otherwise. When we go again we'll do the longer trip! We enjoyed it!

We had to think about whether we would go on the one hour or three hour trip we diecided on the 3 hour trip which was more 30 minutes on the train then waiting at a tavernor to be taken back for another 30 minutes, granted we had a drink and a snack but was not what we expected we... More

The excursion that you have reviewed does not leave from Agios Nikolaos but from the village of Elounda. Sorry that you did not enjoy your day with them in Elounda, but as I know the girls that work on this train I am pretty sure that it was explained to you in advance exactly where and what the train excursion... This was a nice train tour, it was 1hr long which was a perfect amount of time. We went up a mountain and saw lovely views of Crete. Would definitely recommend

The £6 that you spend on this trip is well worth it, as you will see parts of Agios Nikolaos that you would not if you were lying on the beach or by the pool.
