Make sure you go to the fab restaurant at Marmara Beach. Extremely friendly and relaxed and really delicious sfakian food -- especially the bread baked in their own wood oven. The owners have a restaurant in Chania too called Christostomos. You can walk to the beach from Loutro (provided you don't get vertigo and you have good walking shoes) or... More

We took a boat trip to Loutro from Hora Sfakion. Boat is the only means of transportation to the village, as there are no roads to it. If you wish to spend a very relaxing day, this is the place. Or more days, as there are plenty of apartment for rent. If you wish to take a walk, there is... More

From the sea Loutro looks idyllic and beautiful in a little bay. But when you arrive, you will see, that Loutro has no normal greek life. Loutro has only tourists and the greeks, who serve the tourists. If you like a silent tourist-enclave without esperiences, you can perhaps stay in Loutro. If you want to have a normal life around... No roads lead to Loutro. The village is like a little treasure on the Libyan sea. Great restaurants and a very nice pebbles beach on the east end.

Beautiful white-coloured village without car access. Easy reachable after 5 kilometer trekking from Chora Sfakion. Very enjoyable walk!

The most beautiful little town, it felt so much like home while I was there. Very quiet, and laid back. The people are so friendly, the food is amazing and the water is pristine. Plenty around if you hike to the nearby beaches or gorges, rent a boat or rent a kayak. Evenings are beautiful as the sun sets over... More

Loutro is one of the most special places I have visited... The lack of any roads leading to this town provides a sort of barrier for the type of overfilled, expensive, annoying beach towns you can find throughout Europe and the world. The ombre color of blue and green that the water in the harbor turns through the day cannot... More

We walked to this nice place coming from Agia Roumeli. We stayed there a couple of hours enjoying the rest and quietness of this place. It is so beautiful and people are really nice!

This is a truly beautiful place, accessible only by ferry, where you can find peace, quiet and tranquillity. Get the ferry from Hora Sfakion, get off, find somewhere you fancy to stay, there's a good choice, and just chill out. If you really want some excitement get the little boat to the next bay, Sweetwater, where there's a taverna and... More

The village with out roads! This place is magic - do not miss it. Walk among Roman ruins. Near to them is a tiny landing stage where you can dive into the sea.
