Great venue for theatre plays and musicals, right at the heart of Athens. I have been there a few times and I will visit it again. You can book your tickets on line or you can call the theatre and buy the tickets an hour before the show from the theatre

This was my first play to ever go to. We watched the first half of Arsenic and Old Lace in Greek. Unfortunately, we both kept falling asleep and decided to leave. Beautiful theatre.

It is the best theatre we have. It is centrally located, near the place of Syntagma. It is renovated, and there are comfortable seats.

The best entertainment we've seen in Greece. Professional like a broadway show. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The theater itself is well organized and the staff very professional, a truly enjoyable evening

We saw Chicago there - in Greek. The ticket seller was very hesitant to sell us tickets, as it was obvious we don't understand a word of the language. But we were familiar with the play, so this was a neat opportunity to watch a musical and be able to concentrate on the emotions of the actors instead of the... More

I was in the first show after the renovation of the building and was stunned. Go and see a show there!

Been there once for a Diamanda Gallas concert. The hall had very good sound, but it was a piano/vocal show, so I can't elaborate any further on it's acoustics. The hall is like an old theater, quite beautiful in my opinion.

Outstanding Theatrical Performances; recently refurbished old theatre that enhanced its Grandioso atmosphere, providing though very modern services; It is a must if you like theater and being in Athens at winter.

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
