The Megaron Concert Hall is the main attraction of Athens, especially when you talk about Opera and other classical music. I’m not really a fan of music but the venue gets you revved up enough to appreciate every tone and sound. The music type and program are well organized and it is really hard to miss.

It is lovely place. but having visited concert halls in different European cities I must be honest, it is somewhat disapointing. Well, but its about music, so never mind that the visual side of a building is not so much, it depends on what you go to listen, after all.

You cannot miss it! Easy to find, metro station right outside, beautiful surroundings, friendly and very polite staff, very good sound quality and carefully chosen program. A must if you are a cultural or musical type!

For the most part, this is the best venue for opera, symphonic and concert hall music available in Athens. All the same, there are frequent pop-music performances and even folkloric music shows that lend an overall mixed, if not uneven, impression of this establishment. In New York terms, it's closer to Carnegie Hall than to Lincoln Center.

I've been on a many occasion. Nice modern building with excellent acoustics. Parking facilities. Modestly priced could concerts and other performances. Good selection too. Usually good to excellent soloists. Each time a memorable outing.

I don't go to concert halls often but when I do I prefer that they are comfortable and that it must have a great sound system. Sadly although the Megaron is widely advertised as a great concert hall I found it lacking in both of the above.
