To my utter surprise, I found that having my feet nibbled on my tiny fish to be very relaxing. It took me a few minutes to get used to, but I loved it. After walking around Athens for five straight days my feet were a little worse for wear, and this therapy helped in a major way! There was a... More

Athens is a city where you can do a lot of walking as there are so many attractions and there aren't too many steep hills to climb. At the end of a day of walking and sightseeing its a welcome relief to treat your feet to a bit of luxury and have the fish nibble on them. A great way... More

I booked a foot massage for 20 minutes. The girl massaged me as if I was 2 month old baby. I asked her to apply more pressure but to no avail. So after 10 minutes, I asked her if this as good as it is going to get and she said, yes. So I told her to stop. But I... More

Tired feet after walking around Europe for four weeks. Dived right into a foot "fish" spa and never looked back. Would highly recommend this for weary travellers who are looking for something a little different front regular foot massage. Would go again in a heartbeat.

We had a late afternoon appointment for a mani/pedi. Whole process took maybe just over an hour and a half. I was pleased with the pedicure, and very impressed with my manicure - i didnt realise my nails could look so nice! Both cost me 35 euro, very reasonable considering how long it took and how much attention to detail... More

Lovely 😀. The fish therapy is very relaxing! Their mani pedi service could be better though, and I think it is a bit cheap to charge extra for filing your nails, or adding a sticker or a simple design to your manicure. These simple services should be included in the price. They use great quality products, and the prices are very... More

After a day and a half of walking around Athens and hiking up the Acropolis, we were ready for a little relaxation. Doctor Fish was really interesting. We each did a 30-minute treatment. It doesn't hurt at all - it just tickles at first, but then you get used to it. We came in the late afternoon, so we think... More

Started with the 10 min fish therapy with the option to extend it to half an hour for 20 Euros, which we did. It is a new thing to be done once, for the thrill of it. After the first ten minutes, I asked to change to another tank because my fish were not doing much to my feet, which... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
