I had a foot therapy by these little fishes Gara Roufa and the results were unbelievable. My feet felt very soft after the treatment which was very entertaining as well, because during the treatment the fishes tickles your feet! I had also a very relaxing body massage by very professional staff! Very clean and tidy, highly recommened!

I payed 30€ for the fish tank, a "foot massage" and the nail paint. I was totally disappointed, first the tank is dirty and they don't really care if you tell them, then the "foot massage" was more of a leg and foot petting, and the nail paint is realy just painting, they don't cut or do anything else then... A very unique experience. The little fish eat the dead skin on you feet. The staff is delightful and the place is beautiful and clean. You can also get a manicure and pedicure.

After traipsing around all morning this was a great thing to do. It was relaxing and an amazing experience. The little fish nibbled your feet constantly. Not ticklish at all

We have alway wanted to have this foot therapy, and very glade we did. It is perfectly safe and very enjoyable. We did the one hour treatment and that was a litter to long for us. The Spa has many services but this was fun.

We recently spent a month touring around Europe and ended in Athens. We sort out Dr Fish immediately for some ' foot therapy'. We had been there three years ago and loved it. The location in the Plaka makes it easy to find. The friendly staff insist on all the hygiene issues, washing feet before putting them into tanks, walking... More

This is a very different experience that I've never seen anywhere other than here in Greece! And since it's so inexpensive, it's definitely something everyone should do. While Doctor Fish offers manicures, pedicures, massages, and waxing, their definite highlight is the "fish therapy". While it feels very strange at first, it's actually a very fun experience. The fish therapy is... More

After 3 1/2 weeks of traveling Europe and lots of walking my husband and I popped in to Doctor Fish and booked in for the fish treatment. We needed to come back 45 mins later as they were quite busy but that gave us a chance to do some shopping in the nearby stores. We both had the 10min fish... More

I must admit that I was a bit apprehensive.. Fish eatting humans? However I am SUPER glad that I decided to try this therapy out. The facility itself is very clean and hospitable. It was not difficult to locate this spa(even if you are limited to only wifi) The biggest hurrah for me were the fish! At first, the water pedicure... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
