Based on a recommendation from a local Athens professional tour guide we found our way to the Jewish Museum in Central Athens. This is a fascinating little museum about the decimated Jewish communities of Greece. Apparently there were very large Jewish communities in Greece that went back to ancient times. 95% of the Jewish population was killed in the Holocaust so now there are hardly any Greek Jews left in Greece. Hitler succeeded in Greece of relegating the Jews to a museum.... more
