OMG. This is a must do after some days of sightseeing in Athens. Me and my husband take the Mamma Hammam, and I can't say enough about how it was amazing. After 30 min in the steam we were taken to the next room and had an amazing massage and body scrub for about 1 hour I guess. Then we... More

This is a great place to go just after getting down from the Acropole. Book a relaxing bath with massage and get out of there brand-new!

This is one of those places where what is described in the brochures and online isn't the exact experience you get. It's pretty expensive and the experience doesn't match the price. The steam room is so hot it's hard to get comfortable, and even with the availability of cold water, you have to really enjoy that kind of thing to... More

I was in Athens last week and upon arriving I went straight to the Hammam Baths and had the Ali Mama. It was a wonderful two hours and very affordable. Wonderful facility and staff and had a great thirty minute massage (with a very attentive therapist). This was one of the highlights of my trip and would highly recommend this... More

The baths are lovely. Services are ok, though make sure to specify if you prefer a female masseuse, because you will be SUPER exposed during the massage. We tried the facial and massage. The facial is more or less just a scrub. It's ok, but not what you might expect if you've had many other facials. It's certainly different, and... More

This place was amazing. We went on our first night in town. It was so relaxing and a fun activity to do as a couple. It was everything you would expect and worth the money and time. The facility was clean, peaceful, and comfortable. They have accessible hours, we went in the late evening and it was a nice way... More

One of the best experience in our city. I have a very serious issue with my spine and i am very difficult visiting places for masaz or hammam as the dangers of a new injury are high. I have to say that this place is highly recommended by me. i left feeling great, no pain and my whole body was... More

I booked this for my boyfriends birthday when we were visiting athens. For 45 euros each, we paid for the Ali-hammam experience which was worth the money! The masseuses were incredible, definitely knew what they were doing and we felt pampered to the brim. After the massages we were able to sit in the lounge, enjoy complimentary delights (which were... We had a great experience there and we chose the full program with massage. It is not cheap but it is worth for once in a while to pamper yourself and enjoy a nice massage. The place is clean and the personnel is professional. I recommend it!

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighborhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
