This was a very interesting tour. It was comfortable and well suited to the time we had available. The meal was excellent. In the morning a local event made it difficult for the bus to collect us from our hotel. Pedros came to collect us in a private taxi. His associate met us at a cafe to collect payment because... This 4 day tour starts in Athens and covers the highlights of the Corinth Canal, Napflia, Mycenea, Olympia, Epidureaus, Delphi and the fascinating monasteries of Meteorea. Our guide was quite impressive and made the tour a real learning experience. We were fortunate to have only 12 in our group for most of the tour and the mini-tour bus was excellent.... More

We booked for 2 tours. The first was a full day to Delphi with lunch. The second was a half day to Ancient Corinth. The full day tour was first class with a patient, knowledgable guide. She took her time to explain things in detail and gave us time to explore the site. There was a 25 minute stop on... More

Pick was 2:05 but we didn't leave Athens until 3:15. The guide Katia was knowledgeably and informative. This trip takes about and hour and a quarter to the southern most part of Attica and is a nice drive along the coast. On arriving at the temple (spectacular) there was a short information session and some time to reflect on the... More

We did the Delphi day trip from Athens. It was a very good tour. Our guide was very informative and polite. It rained but was a great experiance. The only negitive was lunch. Next time I will not do the group lunch. It was not good. I would of much rather eaten in a local resturant in town as several... More

Fantastic Guide, Well Planned, Nice Bus, Not-Good Rest-Stops 4-day tour, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora Tour was run by CHAT tours. -Rest stop were frequent, every1-2 hours. Some of the places were sub-standard like; one had NO TOILET SEATS, one had limited food selections, some did not take credti card. Otherwise restops were clean, plenty of food/drink optoins. -Lunches, which were on... More

Went to Delphi and Meteora from athens. Delphi and Meteora are very far away from Athens and i think joining a local tour is a convenient and reasonable choice. The guides were knowledgeable and responsible and the tour was quite well-organized. It took 2 hours by bus from Athens to Delphi and a further 2 hours to Meteora. There were... More

We had the half day tour of Athens in the morning including the acropolis museum. Although the tour was very informative, the guide did soooo much talking that you had very little free time to take photos. You'll need good walking shoes because you have to walk up to the top of the Acropolis via steps not via the easier... More

Find another tour. The guide spoke too much about nothing giving you very little time for pictures or your own ventures. (No time at all) this was the tour of the Acropolis and Museum. Find a tour that will give you interesting points of the sites. Then allows you more than 5 minutes to take your pics and walk around.

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
