We just returned from a trip to Greece and went to see the Acropolis. To me, it was amazing but it was also very hot. The Acropolis is definitely a must-see...it is for sure the symbol of Athens. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Greece! The walk up to see the Parthenon is a hike. I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes with non-slip soles as some of the walk is over marble that is very slippery! Beautiful views from the top... more

You can't go to Athens, without visiting the Acropolis. Start from the street level, by look at the imposing structure of the Acropolis. Then its a steep hill, to reach the entrance, but at the end is well rewording. You have the remains of 2 temples and a small museum, apart from a great view of the city of Athens.... more

The sights at the Acropolis are amazing. But I would highly recommend seeing it with a GUIDE. It is well worth the money. After you purchase your ticket, as you walk to the entrance, there are govt licensed guides waiting to approach you.
