We did a 1 hour tour with our family of 5 (youngest was 10) as they were doing a special offer. None of us had segway'd before, but there was no problem. They are amazing fun and after 15 minutes of instruction and practice we were off. It's the best way to get around when it's hot and we got... More

A really enjoyable and easy tour around the Acropolis. We also went to a look out on the Hill of the Nymphs which had a great view.

Went on the 2 hour classic tour, it gives you a good overview of the sites you may wish to visit on foot. The Staff are all friendly and very informative. I would definately recomend this tour.

We had a great time on the Athens Segway Night Tour. Our guide Panos was an excellent instructor, giving us a good introduction and stopping us when a hazard or tricky terrain was approaching. This made us feel confident, even as segway novices, and allowed us to see sights we would normally not venture into at nighttime. His English was... More

We booked this tour through Viator. It's just ok. We arrived on time, but waited an extra hour for several others who were late. The company should have taken us on time and found another way to work with the latecomers. The guide has to stay with the segways, so information is given at a site, then you walk through... More

Great and fun way to see the sights. You are taught before hand how to use the segway and then 2 tour guides take you round the city for the allocated time stopping at sights and explaining them to you.

We decided to book this Segway tour prior to arriving in Athens since we were only going to be in Athens for two nights. We opted for the city highlights tour which takes you to all the main attractions in Athens. Our guide Vera took us around and stopped at all the main attractions and gave us some history and... What an awesome day! After a brief training for the newbies, we've been on Segways many times, we were off for our 2 hour tour of the city.... First stop, Mars Hill.....what an AMAZING view!!!!! We then went to higher ground to see the city from an observatory.....once again seeing the amazing age of so many great structures...... Through the... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
