As we were only in Athens for a short amount of time, the Segway tour was the perfect option. Flying around the city's sights in the 35 degrees heat allowed us to cram everything we wanted to see and more. We did the combo tour with the Acropolis and other Athens highlights and the gardens. Our tour guide Mila was... More

The segway tour was a great way to cover a lot of ground in the city in a short 2.5 hour time frame. The tour brings you up to the acropolis, however you have to make separate plans, at another time, to go up to the Parthenon. Overall, the tour was worth it as you get some great history of... More

Really great tour guide: Vera! Fast and easy way to see all the major city attractions- also a great way to escape the heat from walking around the sites! You can go much further, faster on a Segway! Highly recommended.

What a memorable experience. Gabriella was our guide and she was an absolute gem. We did the evening tour - the temperature was perfect. Athens by night is a must. A must-do when in Athens.

Athens Segway Tours was such a wonderful surprise. We had never been on a Segway before, but it was such an enjoyable experience I would recommend this tour to everyone. They train you on how to use one and then when you are comfortable with it you start your tour. Our tour guide's name was Barbara and she did an... More

First time visiting Athens. First time on a Segway. The staff was very attentive (Gabriella and Panos) and caring the entire three hour night time tour. Would recommend this for any family. Excellent value. Excellent customer service.

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
