It was a fun time for my whole family. The people at Athens Segway Tours were great. They were ready when they said they would be. All the segways were ready to use when we got there. It was easy to learn and the guide was great! I also appreciated the water afterwards. Book in advance!

We did a 2 1/2 hour tour at 4pm on our final day in Athens. Being a Sunday the streets were fairly busy but we didn't encounter any difficulties, although the section through the street market was cosy! Our guide was good company, gave us ample time at rah stop to have a look around, and told us about what... More

A great and fun way to see the Acropolis and Athens! We had a great tour guide and she was very knowledgable about the Acropolis and its history. Due to the heat, we did the walking tour first which was the Acropolis tour. Afterwards, we did the Segway tour around some sites in Athens. We knew which sites were not... More

A unique experience, you go places that buses never go. After a brief tuition you're on your way, I'm 57 and I found it easy.

We did a 1 hour tour with our family of 5 (youngest was 10) as they were doing a special offer. None of us had segway'd before, but there was no problem. They are amazing fun and after 15 minutes of instruction and practice we were off. It's the best way to get around when it's hot and we got... More

A really enjoyable and easy tour around the Acropolis. We also went to a look out on the Hill of the Nymphs which had a great view.

Went on the 2 hour classic tour, it gives you a good overview of the sites you may wish to visit on foot. The Staff are all friendly and very informative. I would definately recomend this tour.

We had a great time on the Athens Segway Night Tour. Our guide Panos was an excellent instructor, giving us a good introduction and stopping us when a hazard or tricky terrain was approaching. This made us feel confident, even as segway novices, and allowed us to see sights we would normally not venture into at nighttime. His English was... More

We booked this tour through Viator. It's just ok. We arrived on time, but waited an extra hour for several others who were late. The company should have taken us on time and found another way to work with the latecomers. The guide has to stay with the segways, so information is given at a site, then you walk through... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
