Antigua was one of the stops on our recent cruise. We have visited here before and were looking for a different beach from the last trip. On the advice of the cab driver who approached us we decided to go here. He said we didn't have to pay him if we didn't like his choice. Not only did we pay... More

Our family was on a cruise a few yrs ago & docked at Antigua. We asked a cab driver to take us to one of the better beaches with not too many people. He took us to Valley Church beach. WOW!!! We have never seen anything so beautiful. When we arrived we were the only ones there & then a... More

Lovely beach but spoilt by dangerous jet skis zooming into the swimming area, an accident waiting to happen! Also got very crowded with cruise ship folk, and the bar food was very poor. Take a picnic and your own chairs and sit down at the far end, you will see an osprey if you are lucky.

I took the advice of a taxi driver to head to this beach and I am glad I did. The water is beautiful and warm. The sand is soft near the water but also has a lot of shells that my daughter enjoyed sifting through. Had a great day!

I'm from Brazil so I'm used to the clear water and white sand beach but this........ Beautiful, clean, sand is made with tiny little pieces of shells and corals which made this beach unique and one of my favorites among the ones I've known. Great for family with kids, safe to go by taxi, restaurant and wifi access. If you... More

This is a fun beach to go to. Its small and gets crowded when ships are in harbor but the water is great and the bar is convenient.

This beach is beautiful and really should be seen and experienced by all visitors to Antigua. The colours are simply breath-taking and the sea is irresistible for a swim. Dramatic sunsets looking towards nearby Montserrat will live with you for ever.

I'm a regular to this beach as it is generally quieter than nearby jolly. Reading other reviews I noticed reference to Castaways..that's not valley church beach! South beach at Jolly Harbour is home to this bar and it can get really busy on cruise ship days with lots of locals making their living. VC beach is next along the coast... More
