My husband and I visited Antigua on our honeymoon. We decided not to do an excursion like we did on so many of our cruise ports. We ended up taking a taxi to Valley Church Beach (on a recommendation from a friend). It cost $50 round trip, and the driver was nice enough to stick around and wait for us,... More

Beautiful, quiet beach with restaurants. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. Some locals were out in the water, but for the most part I was able to relax in the water. The water is clear blue, similar to Turks and Caicos, however the sand is not as fine as sand is in other islands. Still,... More

This is one of the nicest beaches I've ever been too! The sea was a magnificent blue and sand white!! We visited this beach as part of a wider tour, so didn't get to eat there; however there is a small beach restaurant present. Lots of parking available and wasn't crowed when we went (Friday morning). It is popular with... More

Wonderful, cozy beach nestled in a bay. Great lunchtime dining at the "Nest" beach bar and restaurant. Our preferred beach while vacationing at the nearby Sugar Ridge resort.

We visited the beach three times during our two week stay in Jolly Harbour. The beach is perfect and the swimming fabulous. The Nest beach bar offers a good variety of food and drinks although the service can be slow at times. The coconut shrimps are good and so is the shrimp pizza, the Piña Coladas are great too. You... Visited while on a cruise a couple of weeks ago. We were the only ship in port and the beach wasn't crowded. The view is incredible and I was able to relax. The bar had good drinks and the staff was very cheerful. The wings are incredible and a must try. Family did jet skiing and they enjoyed. The lady... More

We stopped in St John on our cruise. Our taxi driver recommended this beach since it was on the Caribbean side. We are glad he did. It was not crowded at all and had beautiful views. The beach bar had cheap and tasty drinks ($6). Note: They do charge for chairs and umbrellas.

Valley Church Bay was one of our favourites. It is a beautiful crescent of clean sand and the beach bar, The Nest, is a typical Caribbean beach restaurant. But..........last week we visited and walked away in disappointment. Sitting in the bar, the view of the sea was blocked by an enormous stack of sun beds ready for the next influx... More

Visited this beach when we docked in Antigua. Views breathtaking. Beach/water is a bit rough and the stones/shells are hard on the feet/legs. My husband and daughter took a jet ski ride and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great day.
