Simpy gorgeous. Calm, azure green water, soft sand, and a beautiful view. It wasn't empty due to cruise visitors (who cleared out around 3p), but it didn't feel crowded by any means - altough I think there was only 1 ship in that day. Umbrella ($10) and chair ($5) prices were very fair, and the chair fees were waived if... More

On our P & O cruise we called at Antigua and all we wanted was a few hours on a beach. We had specific requirements - my husband uses a walking aid so wanted an easily accessible beach, we didn't want to drive too far, we wanted a quiet, sheltered beach (it was quite a windy day) with small bar... This was our second time at this beach. We really love the clean clear water and the beach is very clean. I think it was 25 or 30 dollars for chair and umbrella. Try and get there early as it does get very crowded with cruise people mid morning. Beach bar was ok just to many fly's, but we took... More

I took my two kids here for a few hours on our cruise stop. The ride over was around 15-20 minutes from port and was 25$ one way. We got there early so it was not crowded but later on in the day it got busy. If you want a beach chair it will cost you 5$ each. If you... More

We went on a tour with Voyages Antigua tours and on the return journey we detoured off the main road to Valley Church Beach which has crystal clear blue waters on a white sandy beach – just like we had seen in movies and in travel brochures. It was very clean and not overrun by tourists.

Convinced by taxi driver that Valley Church beach is the place to go. Boy .... was he right! Absolutely stunning beach. White sand, turquoise water. Great bar (the Nest) for drinks and food. Not too busy. 30 minute taxi ride from St Johns, but don't let this put you off. Sunbeds and parasols to rent. Toilets in the bar area.... More

We took a cab from the cruise port for $30 to this beach. There is a wonderful place called Pam's Wellness Centre here and Pam gave our family relaxing massages. There is a good place to eat and restrooms. There are taxi's waiting to return you to the ship at the end of the day. We had a bad experience... More

This beach is huge, amazing white sand and cristal clear water, I went on a Sunday and it was just me and my friends, there is a restaurante that was closed when we went, but hey who needs it when there is such a beautiful nature all around you? Pack some sandwiches and enjoy!
