We did this boat ride as part of a 20 euro ticket for the 48 hour bus tour. Wine lodge and boat ride. The commentary if you could hear it was poor, but the views and tranquil travel was very nice and cooling on a very sunny and hot day. Lasted just over 30 minutes or so.

Take a trip up river to Peso de Regua by train then a local boat trip, visit the vineyards, sit by the Douro in the Ribeiro and watch the world go by, go on the cable car on the opposite side and walk across Ponte de Luis, visit the wine lodges, take an open toped bus around the city and... More

after all the walking, it was a nice change to take the boat up and down the river. Gave us a different perspective of Porto. The ribeira area actually looks better from the river and the other side than it did walking along the area.

Along the river towards the sea it is landscaped for walking and bike riding - this is a really great walk. Where the river opens into the sea you soon find great beaches - the sort with rocks and crashing waves, very spectacular, and perfect for surfing and body boarding

We decided to take a boat on river Duoro. Some minutes before departing the weather had changed from little rain first to a little sun and later to clear sky. It was a wonderful boat trip. You should not miss it if you visit Porto. That is a city with the most spirit of all cities I have seen since... More

The main reason for our trip to Porto. We did a wine tour up the valley which was fabulous. The river valley is gorgeous with vineyards and "quintas" decorating the steep river banks forming the valley. Definitely worth a trip to the Douro and its Valley and enjoyed the great wines.

I would have to say that this indeed is the main attraction for Porto. It's beautiful river which commands amazing views of both sides of its shores and all the spectacular buildings homes and stores in view

The origin of Porto wine. The transportation of the barrels with it, was made on boats, Rabelos, down the river since Regus City. You will see those boats there. There are luxuous boats up river till the Spanish frontier. Just magnificent. Don't loose this.

The landscape of the Douro, the first wine region demarcated in the world in 1756 is very impressive and was also considered a World Heritage Site in 2001 (and still is!). I love to visit it with my family, because we enjoy the peacefull moments only Douro can bring to us. Never hesitate coming to Porto and Douro: you'll never... More
