We had a private tour and it was the best, we tasted 6 top of the line Ports and enjoyed everyone, we did not even used the spit bucket. The wines were too good to do that.

This tour was well worth the time. The tour gave us the history of Sandeman and the Port industry in general. The guide a lovely girl...dressed in the Sandeman trademark gaucho hat and black cape....was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tasting at the end of the tour. I never really drank Port before my trip....so this was an education. There... More

We attended the Sandeman cellars as a pre-wedding outing with a group of around 30 people, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and seeing first hand how port is made. Was in awe at the oldest vintage port bottle being from 1904!! My children were well impressed! The tasting of the white and tawny port was a cherry on the cake.... More

We loved this tour of the Sandemann port cellars in Porto. The tour guide gave a great history of both Sandemann and the history of the Port business in the area. Followed by a tasting of one up to several varietals. Met some nice people and toured a beautiful and interesting building. Easy to walk to. No pressure to buy.

Timed tour of about 40 mins. Very interesting guided tour which made me appreciate the difference between types of port. Also tasted two different types of port.

This was a great tour and a wonderful marketing lesson for would be business students. I enjoyed seeing the wooden barrels and learning about making port wines. Be careful not to get in a large tour group as it was hard at times to hear our Zoro-look-alike guide. I also understand that languages spoken vary by tour. The tour itself... More
