Just climb the stairs and you get all of Oporto in a 360º view. It's a great way to end a sunny day.

This is one of the "must see" things in Porto. View from the tower is amazing, especially during sunset, but it is really crowded! Don't miss anyway!

As others have said, you need to buy your ticket for the tower from a booth a little way outside the tower. We bought our tickets and climbed the 200 odd steps to the top. There were plenty of points on the way to safely pass others coming down. The views over the river Douro were excellent and I felt... More

Except for the main tower, most of the building outside is covered with commercial plastic for some renovations. Not impressed at all!

First of all you should know that tickets are not sold inside the tower but in a nearby booth. For 2 euros you can climb the tower with narrow stairs and get on the top platform where you meet the crowd of other visitors (at least in high season). It's hard to move around if you have a backpack. Some... More

Everyone says getting to the top of the tower ensures you good views on the city. Well, I disagree. You get better views from mid-way up to the top than the top itself, where there's a high railing (so high I had to rise my camera over my head to be able to take pictures, and I'm not small!!). Honestly,... More

This tower is really worth the climb and the 2€ ticket... The corridors for the stairs are reeeeaaaaally narrow, but it gives a dose of speciality to the building :) And when you get on top of it - the highest building in Porto, you'll love the view!

Not a huge climb, with panoramic views from the top over the whole city and out to the Atlantic. Narrow steep steps. Good value for money.

The view on top of the tower is really nice of course, but the stairway is rather small and you're not able to pass each other. On top of the tower, the railing is rather thin.
