Clerigos Tower

Gorgeous views from up there. I just couldn't get over it. Alas, I lost them with my phone that was pick pocketed that evening. More details and photos on my blog... read more

We purchased an inclusive ticket for 11 euro per person which also gave access to the Palacio da Bolsa & the Mimpo museum. The tower dominates the city skyline & gives a focal point to gain your bearings. The visit allows access to the upper level of the church (which has free access at ground level) but is well worth... We visited the tower during the morning. At midday the crowds are already gathering. The tower is old and also really narrow, so they allow a certain number of people inside at one time. Definitely worth climbing the stairs, as the view is magnificent from the top.

Again, it wouldn't be fun if it was too crowded, as it's very small and you have to squish past people, but we had a lovely day and really enjoyed it. Great views. There were some jerks smoking at the top, which was annoying, but I doubt that is common.

Ok way too many stairs but the view and the building are amazing. It can get a bit crowded so be aware. The church to my understanding still holds masses and I bet that is amazing.

This tower was across from my apartment so as solo traveller, it was my pinpoint of getting home, What bus I got on I would always know where I was. Lots of tourist and great location and has been well kept,

This visit experience was great value. It offered great views of the city and the church was fascinating. We were fortunate enough to visit at the same time as a beguiling organ recital.

Definitively an amazing view. Note that in order to get that view, you have to walk up the stairs and it is quite narrow. Same stairs to go up and down so try to get there as early as possible. It can get quite crowded and then your photos won't be as great. Aside from the view I had a... More
