Taylor's is situated in Gaia on the other side of the Douro river and is well worth a visit. It can be found up a steep hill but was reasonably easy to find from the metro station at General Torres. The guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. It only cost 5 euros and we were able to... More

First of all, many thanks to Keith92's review earlier and his advice on how to find Taylor's. We took a nice stroll over Ponte Luis and then a gentle walk up the road to General Torres metro stop and then turned right into the building mentioned and down one level then out the door. Following the road besides the train... More

The tour only lasts about 30 mins but is really interesting and covers everything you need to know. The guides are knowledgeable and answered my odd questions easily! You get a taste of 3 ports, and can end the tour drinking your samples on the balcony overlooking the river. Well worth €5!

First, the basics, ie finding it. The easiest way is from the Metro. Get off at Jardim do Morro on the D line, then take the cable car down to the river - it's about €8 adult return. From ground level, walk about 200m and you'll see signs for Offley, Croft's and Taylor's. Walk up the (pretty steep) hill and... More

Outside of Porto, Taylor is a brand that many are familiar with, similar to Sandeman in reputation. The lodge is located towards the top of one of the hill leading up from the Douro River and a decent hike. But well worth it. Many port lodges in Porto have a set tasting experience. Taylor allows you to design your own... More

As highlighted by other reviewers, its location is very obscured but the walk is definitely worthwhile. I have been here twice during my visit to Porto and found the easiest way to get here is by metro. Just follow these directions: 1. Alight at General Torres station and find a building with Andante service counters. 2. After entering the building,... More

This is one of the nicest places we went to in Porto - it is located up on the hillside so you get a fantastic view from their terrace where you can go to do your port tasting. The lady who did our tour was great and explained everything really clearly with some funny stories thrown in. All in all... More

The location of Taylor's is a bit uphill than the others, prepare for a bit walk. The view from Taylor's is fantastic due to the height. Three glasses for 5 Euro is good value for money. The lodge tour , where you see the barrels and only barrels, was just a simple introduction. For anyone who wants to know more... More

Well I'm gonna start of by saying that when I went (February 2015) one part of the cellar was closed, so the tour missed an important element there, however I must say, the main cellar gives you a good idea of how other cellars might be. This cellar is located atop a hill and not besides de duoro river like... More
