The worst thing about this tour is the walk up the hill to the lodge. Other than that, everything is great. The tour isn't very long, but it is informative. The ports that you taste are nice, but you want to purchase the additional tastes of the much better ports.

Having no prior knowledge about Port, this short tour and tasting of 3 different ports lingered both in memory and palate. Seeing the huge barrels and the video about how port is made was quite informative. The rose garden and resident peacock make this an attractive stop although walking shoes are a must to hike up the hill. We walked... More

for 3 euros it's worth doing the tour, which is interesting without being too long..as well you get 3 ports to taste, 1 white at the beginning, then 2 others at the conclusion of the tour....drink these out on the terrace and take in the view...the staff are very passionate about their product and that shows through their friendliness and willingness... We went here for our first port wine tasting during our recent trip to Porto. Having caught the metro to General Torres, we tried to find our way to Taylor's through the streets at the top of the hill. It was rather complicated and initially we thought we'd lost our way, as it involved walking round the back of the... More

this is one of the oldest bodegas in Porto. It has a nice garden, restaurant and tasting area. The tour last 30 minutes and is a great introduction and education to the port wine process. I highly recommend this tour, it is a hike up a steep hill, but worth the effort.

We whent there on foot. Easy to find if you folliw the signs. (Cross the most right iron bridge comming from Porto. Then turn right folliw the river till you see the sign) A friendly women at the bar informed us on the tour and tasting formullas. We whent for the tour and the included tasting of 3 ports. The... We went to two port cellar tours during our stay in Porto. First of them was Taylor's. Great value for the 3e price. The tour and 3 port tasting is possibly the best price/quality of all the port cellars. Informative guide and a great venue. At our second cellar (Graham's) the guide told us that we have chosen the best... More

We accidently drove by a small sign in Porto that said Taylor Wine so we went back and found it. We drove right into the place and parked for free while the street outside was full of parked cars as is most of Porto. 3 Euros was all the tour cost with three free Port tastings. Great tour information guide,... More

If you find it a bit exausting to go up the hill... keep up, it's really worth it! The staff is really nice and explains a lot about Port wine and Taylor's Port in particular. The price is really fair (3 euro) considering you have a 3-glasses of Port wine tasting at the end and the location offers a very... More
