We didn't make it for the tour of Taylors and just opted to sample some of the ports while there. This was a good thing that they offer tastings but the room was open with few seats even for the off-season. We managed to get a spot from one lady who was leaving. We sampled a few of the wines... You have to climb a little in the steep streets of Vila Nova da Gaia , but then the reward ! What a place to have lunch after or before a nice sightseeing in the portwine cellar. A well educated guide showed us around and Thon some tasting on the terrace overlooking the river and the old part of the... More

We arrived at Taylors in the pouring rain just in time for their last tour of the day (5pm). The tour costs 5 euros and includes tasting three ports and a tour of the cellars. Nicely done and well run.

Not to be missed when visiting Oporto. Brilliant, informative tour of the port wine-making facility with well experienced guide. Very reasonable price of €5 per person for the tour that culminated in a 3 sample port wine tasting included. Thank you.

Taylors, like all the other porto wine cellars, gives you a tour around the cellars for 5 euro. And you get a tasting as well. What makes taylors special is: - It is the most beautifull location of all, on top of the hill. - They have a spacious garden where you can sit and enjoy your port - The... More

Taylors cellar are at the top of the hill, so several stops to admire the views! Worth it once you are there. Staff very informative and helpful, learnt a lot about the 3 different Ports tasted and what to eat with them. Cost 5 or 8 euros per person ? and book the relevant tour in your language. Bear it... It is far to easy to only visit the cellars lower down the hill but a trip / trek up to the Taylor's cellar is well worth it. The walk is relatively steep, but then again I was wearing a suit and so perhaps not in the most practical shoes, but ones you arrive you are welcomes into the tourist... More

Obviously one of the best Ports, so was one the highlights of my trip. No issue with the buildings. Views excellent. Staff were good, its the manager who sets the rules.......? Its very commercial, and not in a good way. The port is left on a table, and a help yourself attitude at the end......hence the 3 stars. 10 minutes,... More

Taylor's was established in 1692, so one of the oldest wineries around. Staff are professional and the tour is very interesting. Nice spot overlooking the town & river below. You pick up your 3 glasses of sample ports at the end of the tour and wander around the grounds. A good visit, but a bit of a hike to get... More

Only 5 euros for a half-hour guided tour of the port house followed by a tasting session to include 3 different wines in a lovely setting. Very enjoyable.
