Have to visit every year and enjoy it more each year, the tour is so informative and friendly but you have to sat for lunch in the restaurant, it's quality, the food, service, wine and port are fantastic but the surroundings and views make it so special, it's a must visit...

Taylor's was or first port tasting stop in Gaia and it was fantastic. We stopped first for lunch on the terrace that had a great view of central porto and the river. Food was terrific and reasonably priced. Then went to a tasting with a great guide who educated us on details of port making. Enjoyed our 3 ports (white,... More

While waiting for the tour we were given the first tasting a white dry port. We were free to walk around the courtyard and terrace. The tour group was on the larger size, but the guide did a great job of balancing providing information and allowing the guests opportunities to take photos. After the tour we were presented with two... More

Lots of port houses to choose from, so we went for the one we drink most of at home. Excellent informative tour, the guide spoke very good English & was happy to share lots more info after the tour about the business. Decent size tastings of three ports was included in the 5 euro entry too. The food in the... More

Literally over the road from the guest gate to The Yeatman is Taylor's Port. For a very reasonable five euros you get a tour around the cellars and three tasters of different ports. Ok, with three tasters there was no need to stagger, but being that close to The Yeatman if you are staying there it is an obvious choice... More

The tour was carefully narrated by a nice, well-dressed young man, who answered the many questions of the diverse audience. A number of people on the tour were a bit childish and were not listening and too busy taking photographs of themselves--in fact, the guide had to retrieve these lost souls from the interior of the building before we could... Its a bit of a hike to this place but the tour and tasting is great and you will be glad you went. Make sure to check out the garden terrace with a view of the city.

The good: The winery is located on top of the hill where all the cellars are thus has a beautiful view from it's terrace overlooking Porto on the other side of the river. The English style garden is well maintained and a family of peacocks made it's way around the grounds. The staff is very welcoming and the tour itself... More

This is the holy grail of the wine lodges for no other reason than it's Taylor. I suggest the "private" tour for 30 (or 50?) Euro if you want to spend more time than most people. Right next to the Yeatman hotel.

The tour is worth the money and the effort to get the the place. We didn't know much about Port but we do now know a little bit after the tour. You don't need to be a wine buff to find it interesting. Very slick operation, they are used to lots of tourists and run it well. There is an... More
