We jumped on the back of a tour after eating at the restaurant at Taylor's. The tour was OK; informative but noting amazing. The tasting was good at the end and the whole thing was free so we can't complain (unless we missed the payment part). More

Having made the effort to climb the steep hill to Taylor's, we were rather disappointed with the visit. It is not free, as several recent guides suggested. This was our first cellar visit and tasting. One of the only remaining port houses still in British hands, and still family owned and run. Lovely premises. Although quite a hike up a steep hill, lunch at the restaurant at Taylor's rewarded with stunning views of Porto. Both the inside dining room and outside patio are beautiful. The food was also delicious and one of the best meals we had in Porto. We also joined the brief tour which was informative. More

This is a beautifully appointed port cellar. The tasting room is set up as a bar and library, filled with tables and comfy chairs. The outside is a well manicured garden, lush with trees and flowers. The prices of the port are reasonable, especially if you're engaging in individual tastings. And the staff seems very knowledgable. More

if it was up to me I would have skipped Taylor's but our daughter did some research and said it was the best port cave tour. So very happy we took her advice, we toured 4 other houses and they did good enough, but didn't compare to the total Taylor experience. Beautiful spot not to be missed! More
