We went for a tasting but not the tour at Taylor's and had a great time. The wine was good quality and we got to sit in the beautiful outdoor seating area while we drank. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Taylor’s was our first porto-tasting experience with other to follow shortly. We agreed to go on a French-tour although not mastering it entirely. But the guide was very nice and due to the size of the group, switched to English to help us. The tour itself was interesting but actually less fancy as the one we had for example at... More

We visited this late one afternoon, tried a few ports and went through the tour. It was all lovely. It was a gorgeous day and we sat outside with the peacocks at a table with a view that overlooks the city. If you stop here, go by the Yeatman restaurant (block away) and have a drink or tea on their... More

We visited Taylor's restaurant during the week of the food festival, so we were able to avail ourselves of the €20 menu. The food was very good, not over-seasoned as we found generally in Porto. It was early March, so the restaurant wasn't very busy, making it hard to determine how the service would have coped with a crowd, but... More

I was fortunate to be invited by a client for a tour of the casks and dinner. Absolutely amazing hospitality, food, service and atmosphere. The guitarist was superb as well. The peacocks in the courtyard were fun to watch and the actual grape vines spectacularly old and gnarled. Would recommend this to anyone looking for authenticity in their travel experience.

Visited Taylor's, from the previous recommendations and reviews on trip advisor. Although finding the place was a little tricky and required a fair treck up steep hills, certainly worth the effort. For €5 entry, excellent tour and guide, plus 3 tastings. Excellent value and certainly leant a few things about Port.

We chose to visit Taylor's on the advice of the concierge in our hotel, who said it was the best tour to do. We didn't go to any of the other port houses (we tried Ferreira, which was also recommended, but we'd just missed a tour in English and there wasn't another one for a while) so I can't compare... Lovely place for both tastings and a tour. We arrived and were told next English tour was in an hour but that was fine they offered we have our tastings while we waited. Lots of information given about each type and a video to watch. When our tour started (only us and 1 other guy) it was very informative. Don't... More

Had a great afternoon at the Porthouse. 3 tastes of Port and a great tour guide with a wicked sense of humour. A MUST if you visit and for £5 I cant think of a better way to spend a rainy afternoon in Porto!

If you want to learn more about port wine, this is the place to go. There are other cheaper options but few come near the quality. As the wines are prodced well up river there is not much to see but the presentation and dégustation were good. The adjacent restaurant has an excellent menu helpful waiters and a superb view...
