Douro Valley tour - long day with little opportunity to enjoy the winery visit

This tour was 70 euros at a kiosk (but I found out later its cheaper online), left at 9am and returned after 6.30pm. Small bus (there were only 5 of us + the tour guide). the drive is long with winding roads. We stopped a couple of times and the guide gave a brief tour. The guide also pointed out... More

If you don't have more than about 2 days to discover the wonderful city of Porto, be sure to first take a ride on the yellow bus. We first take the whole tour (purple one) and afterwards hopped on and off at the places we most certainly wanted to see. There is a visit of a port cave included... fine.... More

The bus tours in Porto comes in 3 flavours in high season. Red, Blue and Yellow buses. The yellow offers that the ticket can also be used on normal public buses/trams. A good way to get around and see a bigger area of Porto. The blue competitor offers a ticket combo with a boat tour on Douro river, that could... More

When visiting Porto the best way to see the City. We did the hop on hop off and had a wonderful experience visiting old churches and beautiful historical areas of the City. We had a great visit to the Wine Cellars and Wineries. So much to do. The food was delicious too. The little sidewalk cafes were just delightful.

It is always a difficult choice between the open top bus route providers in the main cities of the world. Normally we go with the red ones with the funny letters and have had good experiences. In Lisbon we used the Yellow bus and had no problem including a nice boat ride on the river. In Porto the experience was... More

I always book a bus tour when visiting a city as it gives you a feel for the place. The Yellow Bus was good but if you are expecting a huge amount of commentary as you travel around you will be disappointed. You have plug in headphones which play music interspersed with a little commentary. I was okay with this... More

I took the tour to Guimaraes and Braga, and got two days extra hop on/hop off at Porto. It was 60€. At web it was 54€ but only one day extra. Tour was professionaly guided, small group of people around the world. Braga is beautiful, worth seiing, but Guimaraes was a bit of a dissapointment. Several things, according to our... More

The bus tour is very cheap at €13 per person with free public transport, discounts in stores and attractions and unlimited hop on and hop off. The staff was friendly and helpful, but one thing which I think was not great is that the bus would sometimes stop for ages or be really slow in areas which had nothing interesting... More

We paid €24 for this open top bus tour. You can get on and off the bus as many times as you like and the price also includes a river tour and a port wine visit. You can also use public transport with the ticket and you get given a free city map so you can find your way round.... More

we were not very happy with this bus company, the frequency of the buses is terrible - we had taken the red bus in Lisbon and what a difference!
