For us, YellowBus was fine. We did both tours and the river trip (including the visit to the port makers). Yes, the audio machine doesn't always work but pull the plug in and out a few mm until you hear a crackle, then turn the volume up and the audio guide is usually there. No idea why the volume was... Our host advised blue tours (better commentary) but the booking lass advised yellow (longer itinerary - perhaps better commission). Buses very infrequent, very slow, lots of long stops, audio system unreliable. Probably should have gone blue.

2 routes are offered and both are very interesting. It was 15€ pp for the 2 bus routes and 22€ if you added on the 6 bridges boat tour. The first tour day it was pouring rain and the bus leaked from the lights and the downstairs and upstairs seats were all wet. The second day the bus was an... More

Good value for money but with buses only passing by each hour you dont have much of an opportunity to jump on and off for visits to attractions that you may only want to spend 5 mins at

It’s the weekend, low season. So there is a bus every 45m (orange line). We wait at the station, and when the bus finally arrives he does not stop! We run after him, getting to it when he is at the stop sign, and he won't open the doors. One hour later another bus finally shows up (3 red busses... More

Most of the headset ports don't work - for those that did the information was pretty boring and music played in between the (very) short commentaries. The yellow line does cover more area and goes to more attractions than the other lines (blue & red).

Most of the headset ports worked for once. We really scored in that it was just €11 each for two days because we showed our Yellow Bus tickets we kept from Lisbon. All bus companies appear to be pretty much the same, this one did cover more area, and we did have the discounts. You really have to take these... More

The commentary was disappointing, hardly any information at all about the city and its history. Pretty boring and in between the (very) short commentaries there was some annoying music so you couldn't even talk to each other. Also, the commentary was out of sync with the sights we were driving by and the cranky driver wasn't announcing the stops and... More

Probably the only way to get to see so much of Porto is by taking these tours which run at regular intervals all day. There are bus 3 routes which inter-connect in the center of Porto, the Historical, Bridges and Castle tours, each with its own character. We spent about half a day on each tour and thoroughly enjoyed them.... More
