The oldest church in Portugal, started to build in 1070. It was rebuilt several times, you find gothic, renaissance and baroque styles. The main and the two side altars are excellent. But I believe the nicest are the two baroque organs and the painted ceiling.

Just a portion of the cathedral could be enough. Step in, look up to the ceiling between the organs and enjoy that picture. It is unique, never saw any other similar perspective in any other church or cathedral. The tour to the other 2 smaller churches is a must and to complete the moment visit the museum.

One of the main attractions in Braga. Paid 5€ to access the cathedral, guided tour and museum. For me the museum was the less interesting. The superior level of the cathedral is amazing with those 5k pipes.

Make sure you get a ticket to visit not only the cathedral but also the choir and museum - absolutely the best deal and well worth the additional cost.

As someone who loves to visit cathedrals I visited Braga Cathedral on a recommendation and didn't have any cause to regret doing so. Fantastic historic building and, as someone who likes to look at the organs in these cathedrals I had never seen anything like the ones at Braga. Definitely recommended: check it out or miss out!

We weren't expecting the impressive chapels when we impusively decided to go for the guided tour. The historic chapels, which can only be visited via the guided tour, are well worth the extra 1 euro for the entrance fee to the cathedral (2 euros).

The cathedral is located right in the centre of town and you can hear its bells ringing wherever you are in the centre. The inside is beautiful and the golden organ is really amazing, would definitely recommend going inside for a look.

It is said to be the oldest cathedral in Portugal. It is definitely a "must see" if you're in town. Unfortunately they should maintain it better to preserve the history.
