We have been to this park on all our visits and it always impresses us . It has a small café overlooking the ornamental lake and is an ideal place to take a drink .It has beautiful views towards the mountains and Funchal's marina and port ,and is an ideal stopping point when walking into the city .
This is a lovely way to spend an hour, the park is peaceful, well kept and has excellent views over the harbour. The trees and flowers are well tended and on a sunny day it is a shady place to have a break.
Very convenient for walking with kids. A small pond, fountains, garden, cafe - everything is so nice and charming. A great view of the port. Kids' playground.
When visiting Funchal we usually take the time to wander through this tranquil and pleasant park. Beautiful views of the harbor and a playground for the children. Snack bar selling ice creams and lollies but beware, toilets not the best.
We enjoyed this very much and made a point of stopping off here, each time we passed.
Just sitting on the grass, you get lovely views of the harbour, the marina, the bay and the hills surrounding Funchal.
For a free, municipal facility, this is a lovely park. Well kept, with an interesting mix of trees, plants and flowers.

A great place to visit, especially if you are staying at the western end of the centre of town. Just off the Avenida do Infante near the Rotunda Infante this garden has a bit of everything. There are peaceful spots and lively areas. On certain days schools use the park for competitive games and it is great fun watching them....
