we try and use red hop on hop off busses wherever we go on holiday and this one as with all the trips we've been on with them was good value for money £10, we went on the full 1-1/2 hour round trip and then went back to the stops we liked, the trip takes right you around Funchal and... More

although we' ve been to funchal a considerable number of times have never been on the tour bus. decided to give it a whirl. wished we hadn't!. The commentary (when you could hear it) was very sketchy and the driving on our bus left a lot to be desired. If you don't suffer from travel sickness its a good way to... More

The piped commentary was disjointed and seemed out of sync with the actual.we felt that we got more out of walking with a map and reading printed matter

We took a four hour tour that took us all around the main sites. We got some free shopping time in the market area, strolled through the beautiful flower festival, had a wine tasting, and a cable car ride up to the top of the hill. But the highlight has to be the toboggan ride down the steep streets with... More

This is a great way to get round the city, to see what to see. The 3 in One ticket is best. 48 hrs hop on hop off. As well as the city tour, the ticket includes the Blue route to Camera de Lobos and a further bus ride up to the highest cliff in Europe at Cabo Viral. The... More

These hop on / hop off open top busses are a great way to see many of Funchal's scenic delights. The basic tour costs 15 Euros, but if you fancy a discounted ferry trip to Porto Santo island, or a discounted trip up the cable car to see the Monte Gardens, then paying an extra 8 Euros for the 23... Pontificated over whether to choose the red or yellow tour. Yellow gave us 48hrs instead of 24 and the 3 in1 ticket for €15 gave us the trip up to cabo girao viewing platform. In the end we did all three tours in one day. The main tour is ok, the commentary was audible and informative if not particularly in... More

We loved this open top bus tours. You can buy a 3 in one which takes you on three different routes and also you can get off and on where you want. The 3rd route to Canara de Lobos was very nice where you pick up another to take you to the board walk in Cabo Girao which is a... More

The yellow bus tour is fantastic value for money as we got the 2 day pass for 15€ per person, our. little boy was free admission. We took the blue line on the first day which took us to the fishing town of Camara De Lobos & also onto a minibus to the clifftop viewing point. We enjoyed this trip... More

We rode both the routes of the Yellow Bus but recommend catching the 'Blue' route and getting off at the little harbour where there are shops and best of a collection of bars and restaurants. Leave at stop 12 for Camara de Lobos. When it is time watch for a bus dropping off and you should have enough time to... More
