We decided to choose the yellow bus tour over the red city bus tour simply because it was the first bus to turn up! The bus was €30 for two of us for a 48 hour ticket. We travelled both the blue and yellow line ( the blue is definitely the most interesting!) the bus tour is OK to get... More

The plug-in commentary was reasonably clear, although it talks about places before you get there, so you have to adjust. The route covers a good part of the city and gives you an initial idea of the layout, so that you can go back to individual places later that you wish to explore.

Took the yellow bus 3 in 1 48 hours pas for the whole family, and had both positive and negative experience. The yellow line is good, but watch out for the blueline. The blueline continues in minibuses to a beutyfull sighting point, however it only holds room for 20 passengers so we waited for more than an hour, since the... More

Yellow bus tour was worth every euro we spent. We got 3 in 1, and the ticket was valid for 48 hours. Used it a lot! We were able to visit Camara de lobos and gabo girao and of course saw a lot in funchal too. The price was good considering that the ticket was valid 48 hours instead of... More

Arrived at Funchal from a cruise and you can collect the tour within a ten minute walk from the port. A good tour around Funchal taking around 90 mins. U can purchase many different tours, some hop on hop off. The music between the commentary gets a it much. All languages available via ear pieces.

We hoped this tour would would venture to other parts of the island, but all it does is drive round funchal for an hour. Poor value at €15 each and the audio guide doesn't work properly. Take the ordinary buses instead, much better value.

Took a 2-day pass and used it a lot. Great way to get a feeling for a new place. Does long trips out of the city to scenic lookouts. Sit upstairs and go around and around and around ... As so often: sound lousy and stop button upstairs did not work on 2 buses

We found the audio laughably bad. It crackled, told you about buildings but never where they were and the music chopped and changed and was repetitive. I suppose it gave you a quick view of Funchal but little else. Go on a tour with Up the mountain, find out where they recommend and get a taxi

We got a 48hr pass from the hotel. This was excellent value - the ticket allowed you to get on and off as you wanted. Great views from the top floor - downside was some of the audio points weren't working - nevertheless worth braking the tour especially if you are short on time.
