Did the 3in1 tour for €15. We were only there for a limited time on our cruise so couldn't use the ticket to the full. Having said that, the tour was good value for money. Took the yellow route to Pico dos Barcelos. Changed to the blue route at stop 14 to go to Camara de Lobos before taking the... More

The first thing in a new city is always the need to get your bearings and work out where things are and how to get around. The Yellow Bus company offers various tours what allow you to get on and off. I did the Funchal one, and found it to be a really helpful way of getting a sense of... More

We took a two day ticket, planning to do the complete tour one day and then go back to places of interest the second. In fact it is a 48 hour ticket so if you time it right you can do it over three days. The commentary was limited with the same song played over and over again in between... More

If you are on your first trip to madeira and want to see whats around funchal the yellow bus is the way to go. It takes you on a steady drive around the old town of funchal as well as the new bits. You can get off any where you want as there is many stops on the journey. Much... More

We used this company for several trips whilst staying in Madeira. We used the standard hop on hop off facility to get our heads around Funchal itself, and then progressed onto a tour to the North West coast via the caves which was excellent. We also did a tour around the east of the island to view the local Sunday... More

Very easy to get about. Stopped right outside our hotel and never waited more than ten minutes. Had two day pass which covered the trip to a fishing village and up to the skywalk viewing platform.

The standard tour is a circuit of central Funchal before heading for the hills and returning via the Lido district where many hotels are located. The alternative tour skips the heights but takes you to the fishing village of Camara de Lobos instead. Both circuits are hop-on, hop-off, priced at 12 Euros and tickets are valid for 24 hours from... More

Having read the reviews on here, we opted to use the yellow rather than the red bus tours. Driver failed to stop at most stops - gave the impression that he wanted one or two longer stops than the inconvenience of giving the passengers the option of getting off! Headphones were provided but were not in sync ith our location... More
