Certainly worth a brief stop as part of a larger tour of the (South-)West. Quite a busy spot though with many dozens of visitors side-to-side staring over the railing into what seems eternity.

Brilliant glass floor view to the bottom. We had a quick stop here on the way back from the West Coast trip.

We booked a taxi to take us to Cabo Girao. Dave our very friendly taxi driver was attentive and our own personal guide. There is no charge once there. You are able to Walk on a glass platform over 500 meters high, if your vertigo allows you. The views are wonderful and walking on the platform and seeing the drop... More

Nice view from the cliffs but the place is really turistic with lot of people and souvenir shops. 10 minutes spent there are enough.

Billed as the second highest sea-cliff in Europe-even though it's off the coast of Marocco! Splendid views down to the sea straight below while standing on a transparent glass viewing platform. Ditto views back down the coast to Funchal and beyond.

The long winding road up to the viewpoint makes you consider if its worth it. It is! Like the view you get from an airplane. Its like looking down on a minature village with fields the size of postcards. Recommend it!

Caught a bus from the old town to the other end of the island & then got a taxi to the top, the taxi driver waited for us for our return trip, the glass platform is fabulous and the view is simply stunning, the taxi was 30 Euro and was worth it, this trip is a must.

Great views towards Funchal from the glass platform overhanging a 500m drop into the Atlantic. For those of nervous disposition the views are still wonderful from the cliff top without walking on the glass floor. There is also a visitors centre catering for immediate needs.

Situated 580 metres above the sea, this viewpoint has a glass floor and is a good place to view Câmara de Lobos, Funchal and the mountains behind the towns. It is a steep drive up the hill but then again everywhere is steep on Madeira. There is a touristy shop on site and apart from the view don't expect anything... More
