The most westerly point of continental Europe. If you are not traveling by car, transport to this area is quite easy from Sintra's train station. After a 30 min bus ride, we arrived at the site, and you are immediately struck by the beauty of the ocean. That particular day that I was there, it was so clear that I... More

We were driving up the coast and visited Cabo da Roca on a very beautiful day. We had amazing views and wandered around the cliffs and behind the lighthouse. It is a very touristy point with bus tours arriving every 30 minutes from Lisbon, but its still worth it and if you have time just hang out there and enjoy... More

It was raining dogs and cats when we headed here, really heavy rainstorm was pouring down on our car that I nearly couldn't drive any more. But shortly after we arrived on site, it stopped raining and the sky miraculously cleared only to present us with one of the most delightful sunsets I've ever experienced in my life. Amplified by... We visited here as part of an Around Lisbon day tour. This is a wonderfully picturesque shoreline and is the most western point in Europe. From these cliffs, the next stop west is New York. It is well worth the time if you can get here easily.

It takes almost 35 minutes from sintra with bus (403). Road is serpentine like and makes you feel nauseous. But i can say that it definitely worths for it. It has a fantastic nature and several fascinating photos can be taken. You can also send postcard from tourist office. If you are near sintra, you shouldn't miss the chance of... More

Beautiful drive from Sintea to Cascais...and the most western point of Europe! A must to do...even as a day trip from Lisbon!

Definitely worth a quick stop to view the most Western European land look out on the Atlantic. It is windy among the high cliffs but great views. We drove but it looked like you could take a public bus.

The furthest point in Europe, the view to the ocean, the rocks, the scenic route to get there is just amazing. The area is great for a walk, a long one! You have the local bus to get there (from Sintra or Cascais) or just rent a car you can explore more the area and don't loose so much time.

Been to Land's End & Cliffs of Dover. This was a beautiful spot and furthest point of Western Europe. Windy but great photo ops. Went here with roadtriplisboa@yahoo.com
