Cabo de Roca have breath taking views as I mentioned. It was winter time when we visited, so it was very foggy. And you will see the eyes of heaven as they call it, where there is sunlight from the heavens toughing only a specific spot in the sea. Mstycal and enchanting beauty. But please dont be stupid to get... More

Great views of open sea and non-descript countryside. DO take a walk along the coast - north or south - to gain an idea of its isolation

Cabo da Roca is the most western point of Europe and if you are in Portugal it is well worth the bus trip out here. First, the landscape through which you travel is really lovely and something that makes Portugal come alive. The westernmost point is breathtaking. You can make your way down to the beach after taking in the... More

Cabo da Roca is the most western point of continental Europe and is about a 40-45 minute bus ride from Sintra. To get there, take bus 403 across the street from the main train station. The views here are absolutely breathtaking and I highly recommend going if you're in the area. However, the coast is quite windy and you should... More

It was an incredible view into the ocean. The cliffs are very high and steep with great views. It is less than 30 minutes out of Sintra and Cascais and has a restaurant. They have biker meet-ups on Sundays.

We had two hours free so we started to walking through the mountains noth of the lighthouse. It is a little bit hard trekking but if you have no health problems, the view and the beach will reward. We went from Lisbon to Sintra by train, from Rocio train station to Sintra train station. In Sintra, leaving the train station... More

Magnificient view of The Atlantic accompanied by a romantic lighthouse and cliff. Advise I : rent a car and get there before 3pm (all the tourist busses arrive by then). Advise II: Climb down to the rock formation and take stunning picture, however, mind the cliff. Advice III: Drive back along the coast over Gincha and Cascais. Beautiful road along... More

We planned a day-trip to Sintra. From Sintra to Capo da Roca, it only takes 45 minutes bus ride. The bus station is located next to Pizza Hut. Jump on to the bus 403 to buy ticket 4.10€ one way. It is absolutely worthwhile paying a visit to this very west point of European continent. In fact, there is not... More
