There is nothing but nice views and a sense of being at the edge of continental Europe looking out into the Atlantic. Definitely go on a clear day and around sunset if possible.

Literally, the wind is so strong at the point that it takes your breath away but the view is amazing! Wear hiking shoes if you want to climb around a little for a few more photo ops without the rest of the tourists.

A magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean! Totally worth the visit. You can see the White House if you look hard enough. :)

This little point is one of the most amazing things I have seen so far in Portugal. The way to there might not be very convenient and you definitely need a car to get there otherwise with public transport it takes really long to get there. Especially when you are going from Lisbon to Cabo da Roca it is really... More

We went there after our trip to Sintra and it was a perfect way to end the day. The sunset from this point was beautiful and the landscape was absolutely gorgeous!

To get there.... The 403 bus takes about 45 minutes from Sintra train station to Cabo da Rocha. This bus runs on an hourly shedule...13:15, 14:15, 15:15 ..etc....time your trip wisely ...We took the 15:15 bus, by the time we got there it's the perfect timing for sunset!! Love it! Last bus to return to the train station is around... More

The most western point of the Europe, a must place to visit while in Portugal! Another great place to take pictures and you could spend hours just by watching the ocean. Vegetation on the surroundings was also interesting and beautiful!

About 2hours from Lisbon is the westernmost point in continental Europe. It is where the land ends and the open ocean begins. Imagine you are standing where countless explorers and sailors stood aboard the tall ships with fear as they see the last of known land drift away and the look of happiness when returned. Cabo de Roca is easy... More
