This is a great place to visit, and a great sunset location for photographs. The cape itself is situated atop 300 meter cliffs, high above the ocean. The views to the South and the North are quite spectacular, and the light itself is very photogenic. Well worth the trip out here to see this place.

We went there on our last day in Lisbon- and it was AMAZING! Beautiful view of the ocean, cliffs. Sound of waves... Breathtaking. I was actually surprised they didn't make it into a better tourist location- it only had one restaurant which sells hamburgers and similar. So I don't recommend going there for lunch or something, since the restaurant doesn't... More

Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. The thought here, right in front, beyound the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean is the American continent, create a feeling that overwhelms you. The sunset is also a good time to be in this particular geographical point. By bus from Sintra is reached relatively quickly. The area is quite windy, but... More

This is a must stop by when visiting sintra from Lisbon because it is on the way back. It's a cliff region overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This is the most western part of Europe. That is definitely something worth visiting in itself.

The most western point in Europe. Great view of the Atlantic ocean. It make me think about people in medieval times thinking what is at the other end of so much water.

I went here today and the place is beautiful. Its the most western point of continental Europe. The weather was perfect. It was like Spring in the southern US. The cliffs and waves battering the rocks is awesome.

"Where the land finishes and the sea starts" - Reading that, it was how my first visit to this place started. This is a superb place to visit, not only for being the most western point in Europe, but because the view is something that makes you feel... small but fulfill at least... It's best review will be the one... More

Stopped here on a day tour, the weather was lovely, sea calm, great views, NB you can't visit the lighthouse as it is still used by the military, also our guide advised that the restaurant is not that good with better places to eat along the coast.

Thank William L
