We stopped by this beach on the way to lunch one day. Very beautiful views. Can be windy, so bring a jacket.
This is a special beach. Virgin sand dunes, strong (and dangerous) Atlantic currents, almost always windy, clean but very cold water, a magnificent view to the ocean and Cabo da Roca (the most westerly point of Europe). There may be better beaches in the Costa Vicentina of Portugal, which are 3 hours away, but this is 10 minutes by car... More
I really love this beach, its big, great waves but just careful of finding out its windy that day. Nice people watching beach since you have surfers and windsurfers, as well as, nice looking people.
one of my favourite beaches in the Lisbon area...and actually in the whole of Portugal. great for surfing and kitesurfing or even just for a simple lie on the beach. enjoy the drive there. breathtaking.
Absolutely gorgeous. When you get off the 405-415 bus from Cascais and walk next to the hotel, the views are something you won't forget. The waves were a crashing and we walked along the beach watching the surfers challenging the waves. most of the waves won. Expansive beach and very clean. Rock formations around and along the beach are very... More
The beach is long with few people, walks are between the super Ocean and the cliffs and green hills around, fabulous! Guincho beach's restaurants are very expensive but they worth a lunch, super!
From Cascais, you can reach the beach with bus 405 or 415, which costs 3.25 one way per person. Alternatively, rent bikes and bike along the scenic coast line, which is about 10-12 km long from downtown Cascais. That is, if you don't have a (rented) car at your disposal. Guincho beach offers thrill seekers a lot, given the fact... More
Beautiful and clean beach, can get windy at some times, which causes the sand and wind to hurt your skin. The beach didn't seem to crowded most of the time. There are some restaurants in the vicinity.
i visited around 5 beaches during my stay in lisbon. although this is the hardest to get to it's the most spectacular and beautiful. very big, with impressive views, for both surfers and people that jut want a relaxing day. easiest way to get here from lisbon. take the train to cascais (40min) from cais do sodre station and then...
