A great adventure and attraction, the palace itself is definitely something you haven't seen before. Take a hike up from Sintra to explore the small little mountain villages and I would suggest to only pay for the park since you get to see almost 90% of the palace anyway.

Marshmallow casile, one of my friends named it. Absolutely incredible. Enjoy every tower, every corridors, I felt like a princess, almost a child. I never saw something like that.

I absolutely loved the visit to this palace! The castle itself is so pretty and vibrant, whilst there is also a lot of interesting history (written in lots of languages, including English inside)! If you are not so interested in the history then only buy a grounds ticket - you can walk all around the outside courtyards and walls of... More

This is a must see and when combined with a trip to Sintra (parks & palaces) is pretty amazing. The only thing we would say is.... rent a car. You'll understand when you get there :)

As such a beautiful palace, this monument adds a true burst of color to the area. With corals, yellow, and pinks, the architecture of this imposing structure take your breath away. Parking is at a premium, and there is a hike. However, once you have purchased your ticket, there is a bus that will take you from the gift shop area... More

Amazing castle. Looks like from a tale with its mystical charm. Take a train from Lisbon Rossio Station to Sintra and then 434 €5 bus which takes you all the way up, well unless you fancy rather long and high walk. Lovely Pena Park all around. A must if you are in Lisbon and have a day or half to... More

Go at 10 when it opens as there are crowds. The palace is stunning and the views from the palace are breathtaking. A top highlight of our visit to Lisbon.

Bit of a trek up to it but well worth it. The views were amazing. The castle itself was like a fairytale castle. Let your imagination run free and enjoy it. The different styles and artefact's are amazing. Just wish we had longer to explore as there was so much to see.
