An expo site that has not gone to waste. It is an excellent spot with gardens, water features, a gentle cable car ride and good restaurants. It covers a big area and gives a view of the low slung Vaso da Gama bridge. It also has the Oceanario which is excellent.

Like a new city next to Lisbon, very nice on summer time and cold in winter, has a nice shopping center some not so good restaurants, a hotel with a nice brunch and the best view for the river and most important valet service. Nice to walk on the river side.

We stayed around here during our trip to Lisbon. It is the most beautiful and modern place of Lisbon, however it is really quiet. We thought at night it will had more live, but it wasn't like that.

Build for the Expo 1998, this space remains site a lot of places that you shouldn't misss. The Orient Station, design by Santiago Calatrava; the Oceanarium design by Peter Chermayffe; the Portuguese Paviliion design by the Portuguese Siza Vieira; the Live Science Museum; and a lot of places to visit and enjoy your day. Don't misss the cable car, the... More

This wide open space has a great walkway, beautiful buildings and small parks, and is just a nice place to hang out largely with locals. Great views of the bridge and a host of dining options. Prepare to walk but thankfully on flat terrain.

We arrived to the Oriente Bus station which is part of this complex. We were greatly impress to see how Lisbon have evolve over the years to be a modern city. You can see in this complex call Parque Das Nacoes many attractions very well compared to the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe. I would add better transportation since there... More

Great place to walk and relax. There's a lot of restaurants you can try with river view. Try the cable car (3,95€ single, 5,90€ round trip) and the visit the famous aquarium "Oceanário", the main attraction in Portugal.

This area is nothing like old Lisbon... has a completely different feel, as soon as you walk out of the metro station, it's like another world. The architecture at the Oriente station is impressive and unexpected. We walked around, in mid May, and found it to be not very busy at all... so we were wondering where the action was.... More

We rented bicycles near our apt. in Chiado for the 12 km. trip to the park. We thought that because there was a bike path that went along the river that this would be a pleasant ride to the park. Not so!- The bike path went past old docks and train tracks and warehouses. When we arrived at the Park-... More

Having spent most of our time in Bairro Alto, walking among the beautiful houses and alleys , our bus tour took us to this area which was built for the Expo. Architects would be interested, the buildings are unusual for skyscrapers, but give me the romance of the old city over the somewhat sanitised environment of the Parque.
