If you want a change from the historic sights in the centre of Lisbon, then head for the Parque das Nacoes. This area was created for Expo 98: as such it does look a little tired in places. To reach Parque da Naceos, take the red line of the metro in the direction of the airport to Oriente station. The... More

The Parque das Nacoes was within the project of the Expo 1998, unfortunately the spaces often are desolated even though you can find out some restaurant or bar open for business. If you do not want to walk you can have a ride on the cable cars and have a great view on the Vasco da Gama bridge and all... More

Ok for a visit, modern architecture but not all sections well maintained, cablecar is cheap, worth the trip. Shopping vasco di gama great, nice foodcourt. The area just needs an upgrade and will be worth making a detour.

I liked the place and this way to walk beside the ocean ... the telefric and the colored fountains .. but the place is free of people or tourists .. I think they prefer to hang out in the old city and Alfama but anyway it's a beautiful place

Parque das Nações is a modern area, built for the 1998 World Expo, with a varied range of attractions. Lovers of architecture will find here some masterpieces made by Portuguese architects like Siza Vieira and Carrilho da Graca, and also by foreign architects like Calatrava and Chermayeff. In my opinion The Gare do Oriente train station, the Portuguese pavilion and... More

My opinion will be always suspicious, because I knew this place before is became EXPO 98, I knew during EXPO 98 and in what is transform now. Is a wonderful place to stroll in a sunny afternoon and you have it all; the river, the gardens, the view, the restaurants and the shops. You have the Ocenário, that magic place... More

Starting with the arrival train station ( a Calatrava. masterpiece ) you won't be disappointed at all when visiting this part of the city. The Portugal pavilion is absolutely stunning too. I spent nearly 3 hours walking from one end to the other of the whole site ( taking photos ). It was really nice to visit !

This park built for an expo in 1998 I believe is a mixture of modern architecture and sea imagery......The views of the water and the Vasco de Gama bridge are magnificient as are the shops and restaurants. The park is close to a major train terminal which is underneath more lovely architectural pieces which look like Palm Trees. There is... More
