But also a bit disappointing, if you know other work by Calatrava, like the station of Liège in Belgium, a true masterpiece

Beautiful architecture and completely functional as the international train station for Lisboa and a stop away from the airport on the metro. Situated a fabulous new area of Lisbon with the shopping areas and the Oceanarium. Spend some time in the station itself , well worth it

This is one of Lisboa s train stations as well as metro station. It is located at the east part of the city and very near the river and just in front of the Parco das Nacoes and the Oceanarium. This station holds several restaurants inside, many shops and even an expo from time to time. It has two levels... More

So unexpected - a roof of glass and steel made to look like a row of trees; it sure does get your attention! The complex houses a train station, a subway (metro) and a bus terminal. You can purchase food and drinks from within the complex and it is wheelchair accessible. Not sure that I would make a special trip... More

Having decided to forgo a third plane trip to get us to Porto, we decided to go by train. Getting to this nice station from Lisbon airport was quite easy. The architecture of this building is quite striking & is a landmark visible from quite a number of places in Lisbon. Buying the tickets we had decided on 1st class... More

One of the places that looks definitely more impressive from outside. Could say it is a piece of Station Art :) Really it's lovely, before you need to get in and get oriented to your train in the mess

Interesting modern architectura, but not easy to access to all the floors - not enough escalators and elevators for people with heavy luggage.

In Lisbon, near the Portela airport, this station is more than a simple railway station! Even if you do not need to catch the train it is worthwhile to visit. There are small shops and coffee shops around, the underground, plus the railway station! When built it was considered a very modern and innovative project, but it does work and... More
