What a disappointing park. After what I'd read I was expecting at least a lawn to sit on but no such thing. Lots of benches, some with graffiti on them and generally a very bland area. Really not something I'd add into a tourist guide book. The Edward Vll Park is far more superior.

A small but pleasant park near the Botanic gardens. Best feature is the underground reservoir in the middle dale of the park.

It surebwas a nice park close to the city centre, but it felt a bit like it had seen its better days. Some love and care wouldnt hurt.

For locals, Principe Real refers to the garden and to the neighbourhood. A must pass-by garden in the city due to its centrality, it's worth a more leisurely visit. Take some time to visit the water museum, lounge in one of the benches, drink some coffee and nibble on a salgado in one of the quiosques and do some people-watching... More

It's not really much of a garden, but there a few areas to sit away from the hustle and bustle of Principe Real. It seems a bit unkempt and does really have much to offer. The only interesting thing about this garden is the cedar tree which is well over 100 years old and whose branches now span out so... More

The Jardim do Principe Real is not exactly big, but it is very nice. It has a little kiosk where you can have a drink, and on Saturdays there's an organic market where you can buy local produce.

And doing nothing but people watch. Lots of locals selling unusual gifts and food. Interesting trees too.

This is a decent garden, located in the middle of the Principe Real square. While the garden is rather neglected with a murky pond and several dirty paths, it also features a magnificent cedar, with branches that were forced into a lovely shape, so they provide some shade within the garden. While this is certainly not the natural way for... More

ONE OF THE MOST ATTRACTIVE PARKS IN LISBON!! located around 3 blocks north of the Barrio Alto funicular stop, it's a 3 acre garden with a variety of different trees and bushes. The outstanding HUGH Cedar of Bucaco, 60-80 feet in diameter with it's branches laying on a steel trellis is the highlight. A small restaurant , Esplanada Do Principe... More
