A classic landmark in the heart of Lisbon. Not the longest bridge but certainly the most beautiful. Looking from the Praca do Commercio, you have a view on both San Francisco and Rio de Janeiro. Crossing this bridge brings you both places in just a few minutes!

Even though it's not the city's longest bridge (it's charmless Vasco da Gama), it is the Ponte 25 de Abril bridge which is the city's main landmark. There is a great view from the bridge - which unfortunately one can not walk across. If You go by bus, instead of car, You don't have to pay the toll fee!

Went under this on cruise ship Azura, can see undersides of vehicles as the roadway is mesh. No pedestrians on bridge - spooky noises to hear from all the traffic driving over lol.

Beautiful bridge which looks like the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, you will see it at best from the water by boat. But also along the riverside you will have nice views of this 'golden' bridge.

That's about it. You can cross it to go across Tagus river and take some pictures while in traffic. The end. :) It's not what I'd call "a thing to see".

The 25th of April bridge connects Lisbon to Almada over the Tejon river. This bridge was designed and modeled after the famous Golden Gate bridge of San Francisco, CA. You get great views of Lisbon and the Cristo-Rei statue; however, you must get pictures from a car/taxi as pedestrians are not allowed on the bridge. If you visit the Cristo-Rei... More

A must when in Lisbon. The bridge link the south side of the river to the north side, when driving past you get a great view of the city and the little house... a perfect postcard. During night time is it also nice as the light are on.

The bridge so named because on 25 April the military removed a dictator and it was originally named after him but changed to be named after the date. Looks like the Golden Gate Bridge and that's because they used the same American company to design and build it. I have seen been across the Golden Gate in SF and it... More

This is stunning! Never been to the Golden Gate Bridge in SF, but this is based on that. Too bad you cannot walk across it! Must see!
