The Gulbenkian Foundation has a very active and variate cultural programm, including concerts with its own fantastic orchestra and inviting best world soloists. The art colection, both in the "classical" and in the "contemporany" museums, is one of the best in Europe and in the western world. The beautiful gardens and the buildings deserve a visit. Even the museum shops... More

Unbelievable that one person could amass such a varied collection of interesting objects. In addition there is the modern gallery at the end of the park which is well worth visiting

OK modern art galleries can be a bit like the 'king and his new clothes' - lots of people oohing and ahhing about canvasses with a couple of paint splodges with a fake fox stuck in one corner.. This museum has lots of that - and some of it is really funny.. but there is some really good stuff here... More

My wife and I enjoyed a few hours on a dull weather afternoon. The listening devices are a must for a full appreciation of the displays. The display were extremely varied in topics a d time lines. Great value.

The Foundation has an excellent museum and great surroundings (several cool places around are also worth a visit). Inside there are nice cafés and places to chill-out and check-out your email in the free wi-fi taking some sun in the garden. If you feel more cultural go and get yourself a guided tour to their temporary or permanent varied art... More

The collection is eclectic and of a wonderful standard. Well presented displays of a lifetimes's collection. The Islamic art section is outstanding. I recommend the guide book at €7.20 to read as you go around and afterwards. It has good explanations of key pieces and a good summary of each section. The restaurant serves excellent food at very reasonable prices... More

beautiful pieces of art in a very beautiful scenery. It is a pity that , on Sunday, when the visit is for free, you have to wait so long to get a ticket!!

Saw the Lalique and it is gorgeous. The whole collection of the museum is well worth seeing. Don't short the gardens, they are worth a walk around.
