I was recommended to go here by a Portuguese friend and I totally enjoyed it: the exhibitions are well presented and interesting (I loved the furniture!). Good location, nice gardens, all in all a well worth it half day.

The collection is simply breath-taking and is just as it claims 'one of the finest' collections of art in Europe.

Thoroughly enjoyed this museum. Pleasantly surprised when we arrived on a Sunday to find the admission free. Lots of people but it didn't feel crowded. Great variety and well displayed.

It is most outstanding to go and visit this garden. Very quiet place, full with trees, good atmosphere, good temprature to have a good and long stroll.

I keep coming to this garden just to lay on the grass and read a book. I believe I only saw the Art gallery inside, it's ok. There's a cafeteria and a book shop. It's a nice afternoon plan, if you just need a break from the city noise.

The main collection is absolutely brilliant and very eclectic. The range of artefacts is astonishing. The collection of Persian and Isnik ceramics is quite beautiful these are displayed alongside illuminated manuscripts worthy of the British Library. There are also some choices that will not be to every taste such as the Rocco Furniture. In the paintings the jewel is probably... More
