Well presented and very interesting. The presentation in the dome lasts approx 50 mins, and there is an English translation on headphones available. Works really well.

They have improved their show and have come up with new and interesting stuff. Check the website the dates and schedules. Some shows require booking, and some are in English. Great for kids! The inside has been refurbished and has now great reclined armchairs. Enjoy it!

I took my 8- and 10-year olds and they really enjoyed it. There's a small interactive display area, which they liked but it was really just to kill time until the show started. Before going, I looked up their website because the schedule varies and they offer things for different ages and also only certain shows are in English. We... More

After reading all the recommendations, we were looking forward to visiting the planetarium with our 4 year old son. But I guess he is too young for the 30 minute projector show, which was only in Portuguese and was stopped a few times due to technical issues. The exhibits outside are also all solely in Portuguese as well so can... More

My 4 year old son loves stars and the space so the Planetario was of course a must when we were in Lisbon. But we were quite disappointed with how it worked. You go to a "movie show" which is 30-50 minutes and for his age there wasn't even anything, but we went to a show for 5 year olds... More

If you want to visit the stars lying down in a comfortable chair, this is the place to go. It will be dark and quiet, so many people fall asleep (my father says it's one of the best places to sleep but you pay for it). It's worth a try.

The Planetarium is located in a large Square Between 2 section on the Maritime museum (main building in the Jeronimos Monastery and Large boats exposition room) and facing Belem Cultural Centre (with Modern art museum). The building itself is dated from the 70´s and inside there´s a small exposition space stuff (rocks, models, posters...). The large exhibition room revolves around... More
