This is a very good zoo. It has all the animals that most people want to see, all kept in good conditions. If you like the great apes, there are gorillas, orangs and chimpanzees. The animal welfare here is to a high standard, with important educational and conservation projects. The dolphin and sea lion display was one of the best... More

It is a nice zoo with a good collection of interesting animals. It was consistently average with the exception of the parrot, rhino, koala, and cheetah enclosures. But overall, a good zoo.

It is a great place to spend time wih kids. The animals are great, with big places for each. There is also a cable car - great to see the zoo from above. You will also see some animals that you can't see from the ground There is no extra fee for the cable car. The dolphin show and the... More

Quite a few animals. Although not really impressed by zoos, the animal appeared to be well kept and looked after. The really good thing is the cable cars which go above the animals. You stand in the cable car and when you look down you are above the lion enclosure.

Throughly enjoyed this zoo, spent 6 hours wandering around, and could have easily spent more if we had the time. The cable car goes over the zoo and gives you a view of the city outside the zoo and also the animals from above. The dolphin show was lovely with sealions and enthusiastic staff. The staff were all patient with... More

We went because my daughter wanted to see the dolphin show. We were not disappointed! Whilst many of the animals are the usual run of the mill, we loved the cable car which gave you an unusual perspective on them. Both the cable car and the dolphin show are included in the admission price.

Great place to spend the day with the kids. Even the adults have lots of fun checking the animals. The best is the cable ride to see the animals from above. They even have Dolphins and sea Lions making a great show

We were two pensioners stranded in Lisbon on a very overcast Monday. Apart from shopping and visiting places of interest (which we had already done), Museums are also closed - what to do - try the Zoo. All was quiet and we were advised to try out the cable car ride first - a cage each, 60 ft about the... More

Took my two daughters age 6 and 9 for a day out. Had a great day and went on cable cars twice. The dolphin show was really good and seemed that the staff enjoyed doing the show too. Food and drink were very reasonable and the zoo shop was worth a visit too. We also went in the train too... More

We visited with 2 tired children after a very early start and a long flight, and it was perfect. We arrived as the dolphin and sea lion show started. Much like at any other zoo but great nonetheless. They always are! There is a small cable car which takes you over the whole zoo. Do this before you start to... More
