Beautiful view of the Castelo de São Jorge, Baixa, Rio Tejo, Avenida da Liberdade from Bairro Alto. Renovated garden on lower level return a wonderful spot to full glory day or night.

We stayed in Atlantico hotel just below this gardens, we walked here every evening to see the sunset and beautiful Lisbon. simply superb. If you have some time then you can easily spend and hour or so watching the view or simply seating in the beautiful landscaped gardens

This view point of the city is one of the best. It's large with a formal garden on two levels. It's located in one of the best tourist parts of the city, Barrio Alto with plenty shops and restaurants, large and small. In the opposite direction is the Principe Real Park. Transportation is not a problem, trolleys and taxis are... More

I have been in Lisbon before and really love the city. I was amazed at the number of mendicants, beggars and bums this time around. Not sure if that's about the economic crisis or time of year but I did not like it as much. The view from the miradour is excellent if you want to gain some perspective of... More

We stayed a short walk from this miradouro and it was perfect to stroll up to in the evening sun, buy a drink and sit enjoying the views. But beware, can be very breezy as you are so high up! Brilliant view of the Castle.

For me this is the best view of Lisbon. At night people gather to talk and have some wine. If you are felling tired to climb all the way up there, just take Elevador da Glória!

If you use the elevador da Gloria from Restauradores to get up the extremely steep hill, then this very good viewpoint is only a few yards to the right. It's also only a short walk back from here to the Fado in Chiado (left/downhill from the elevador).

Go in the afternoon or evenig for the best light, since you will be facing east. Just to the right from the top of the Elevador (funicular) da Gloria, which starts near Restauradores metro station. Buy a transit day pass -- the single fare is too expensive to be worth the funicular rides.
