This fun little fashion and design museum is a great respite from all the other tourist attracts near by. It's well curated and has really fantastic exhibitions. And it's free! Or at least it was when I went. Either way, if you're into fashion or designer or just want to see some beautiful clothing, head here!

The building is as interesting as the exhibits (I felt like on a spy movie, going into the vault room...) and it is well worth a visit! Apparently the temporary exhibits change often, so I'll sure visit it every time I go to Lisboa. The permanent exhibit is a great way to get a fast overview of design evolution. PLUS:... More

The museum is located in a former bank building. Downstairs sunglasses are on display in a most clever way. How? That's for you to find out but worth the try. Ground floor has permanent exposition of some design item that are presented by decades. Gives you a quick overview. Nice but not as good as their temporary exhibitions. These are... More

It was pouring rain, so I stumbled upon this gem of a museum. Admission is free, so it made it that much better. They have a lot of designs on display from all industries--apparel, furniture, household items. Highly recommed for a quick visit.

In the basement of MUDE Museum is a really charming eyewear museum worth of visiting! It is in an old safety locker room of a former bank, just the kind that you can see in movies! Other than that, I was expecting more form the actual ground floor exhibition, especially something about fashion. Second floor had kind of non-sense IKEA... More

Really enjoyed the exhibition space…an eclectic collection from clothes to chairs. Whilst I was visiting saw the Japanese temporary exhibition Boro:The fabric of life, which was most interesting as were the collection metal tea pots, lunch boxes and other household items. LOVE the surfboards on the exterior ! Very eye catching ! Worth an hour or so...

We went specifically to see the Japenese textile exhibition Boro, but the other floors turned out to be worth a look too. Interesting old bank building (they use the vaults downstairs as one of the exhibition rooms which was great to see in itself!) and some good exhibitions.

The plus side: we got in free. The down side: no photos. It was an interesting walk around two floors of modern, vintage furnishings and clothing. The surfboard display on the front of the building got us in, but inside was rather so-so. Would not visit again.

Designs that bring back memories from trendy furniture to bubble cars. Special exhibitions of furniture, aluminium and spectacles. The history of specs was curated in a tremendous way..in a bank vault of safety deposit boxes.

Spent about an hour here. Some interesting design pieces (fashion, furniture, a Vespa) with English descriptions - but confusing to walk through overall, as pieces didn't seem to relate to each other, even within the same exhibit. Could have been better curated. Great value for money, though (it's free to enter!) Worthwhile to pop in if you're visiting Rua Augusta... More
