Can anybody say mall? That's what this really is, albeit one with classy architecture and a really quite lovely arch from which there's a nice view

Lisbon was an absolute disappointment. Dirty with loads of "unsavories". It's a port city so I understand that it would attract wanderers. But it felt super unsafe even in the commercial tourist district. It could be so nice it the government put some money into cleaning up the area.

It`s a pretty place with some history and a big archway that looks down to the river but there`s nothing much to see or do there.

This beautiful square is said to lie between the former bedrooms of the Portuguese king and queen, who didn't share their homes. The place is impressive and offers a nice view to the river.

Very impressive square. Ideal for taking city tours that start and end here. You can do the routes yourself easily but on a first visit it's worth paying for the commentary to help get your bearings and spot the places of real interest.. They're hop-on hop-off so if anything attracts your attention go for it. Every 20-30 mins so no... More

Day or night, this is the place to visit and sit on the riverbank. Don't mind the ones who will try to sell you drugs. They are harmless if you say "no."

A spacious square on the water with a massive statue of Dom Jose1 who was later executed in the square. There are cafes lining the plaza so which to chose is really pot luck…went to a few and all pretty much the same_safe and basic. Good photo opportunity. Catch the famous #28 Tram from here

It is a nice place with a lot of history behind. And still everything in Lisbon is connected with this place
