Day or night, this is the place to visit and sit on the riverbank. Don't mind the ones who will try to sell you drugs. They are harmless if you say "no."

A spacious square on the water with a massive statue of Dom Jose1 who was later executed in the square. There are cafes lining the plaza so which to chose is really pot luck…went to a few and all pretty much the same_safe and basic. Good photo opportunity. Catch the famous #28 Tram from here

The square is a huge one, with beautiful monuments and the enormous Tejo river washing the shore. If you want to sit and lunch or only take a coffee, there are lots of places around the square. Definitely a good place to take a breath and rest a little before wander a little more around Lisbon. Considering that you are... More

An beautiful square overlooking the Tagus River. We took an elevator to the top of Arco da Rua Augusta giving us views over the Square & the river. Worth the €2.50.

This square is on the river Tagus at the base of the long pedestrian street filled with shops and restaurants. It is a focal point in Lisbon. The square is one city block long and wide. One of Lisbon's ferry services abuts the square. In the center of the square is a statue of King Jose I on horseback 14... More

The Praça do Comércio situated near the Tagus river. Nice to take some photos, eat an icecream, walk or just relax from your tour in Lisbon.

This square is huge, and has a very refined feel to it. Designed after the 1755 earthquake razed the city, it is grand in nature and leads to the main commercial area from the river.
