More than two decades after its opening , Amoreiras Shopping Center won, definitely, a place as a Lisbon’s icon. Placed in the center of the Portuguese capital, with a very bold architecture for its time, it early became a meeting point for the upper middle and upper classes, always demanding quality and attentive to the latest fashion trends.Today, it entered to the gallery of Lisbon traditions, without losing the aura of vanguard and exclusivity that was always around it. Even after two decades, Amoreiras Shopping Center remains the top spot for exclusive brands at the very heart of Lisbon.

Set in Amoreiras towers, an edification of the 1980s that tainted the whitewashed landscape of the time with the first glass facade buildings with garish accents. Its architect, Tomás Taveira, whose other work can be found in Lisbon and elsewhere, slipped off the limelight after a sex scandal in 1989 which dragged into the tabloid media women of the elite... With a lot of shopping centers in Lisbon that provide a best shopping experience this is not a place to book a trip. If your hotel is near and you need to shop something you'll find a supermarket inside.

Definitely not an attraction. I went here because I needed a few things and my hotel was about a 10 minute walk. Bland stores, nothing special. Not worth a special trip by any means, but eminently serviceable if you need something.

One can easily wonder what it is which makes a shopping mall. Is it the shops? Wrong. It is the feeling of being in a shopping mall. I completely lacked this feeling here, where I did not lack it in Colombo, to give but an example. It's too big, too many empty spaces. In a true shopping mall, all places... More

It has a certain touch of aristocracy as well as the whole surrounding area ! Big and wide spaces in this indoor mall with a great range of excellent shops and varied services. No underground station in the area, that's why it's so quiet and refined - its clientele reveals it fully ! Peak hours at lunchtime and then ...... More

Small and very good mall. All basics you need at one place; cloth, electronics, houseware and bookshops. There is a nice supermarket and other natural food shops. No fancy brands. It's good for travelers.

It looks pretty grim from the outside, but inside its a got a very good selection of brand name shops, especially in terms of international fashion brands. You wouldn't spend a day there but easily 2-3 hrs especially at sale time. We picked up some great bargains

We strolled up here one night as it looked close to our hotel on the tourist map. It took us about 10 mins by foot up the hill. While there is a great selection of places to eat, I didnt think that the selection of shops was great.

Once considered THE shopping spot.Still, most of the best names are situated there.Be impressed by the building itself, the marbles inside gives it a sense of opulence.Any shop you visit, the staff will speak English and other languages if necessary!
