It's a terrible market. Most of the stuff is actually garbage: old computer parts, busted tools and ugly attempts at art. Instead go to the waterfront, check out the arch and look at the stands there which contain handmade local crafts -- much nicer! More

Lot of junk! But some good stuff if you look hard. I took a cab from city center it cost 6 euro one way.The real nice stuff were over-priced, Its a busy Saturday morning with lots of stuff and people. Get early to see it all, opens at 7 am (I think) Well worth the trip! More

A river cruise sailling on the Tagus estuary. The check in/out is on Alcântara (Doca de Santo Amaro). Bring camera and sailing shoes and a sunglasses. Could have a hald-day (4 hours) or a day (7 hours) duration. More

The Feira da Ladra or 'thieves market' is in the shadow of the impressive Santa Engracia Church. It is an interesting flea market of bits and bobs ranging from the usual touristy stuff, to clothes, toys and antiques. There are a couple of interesting stalls with prints of old maps, old postcards and photos. It’s worth having a rummage around...... More
