The elevator is quite unique--an iron structure in the middle of the city. It was recommended to us. The lady who recommended it must get a kick back, as it was quite expensive. We had just as good a view of the city and the river from other locations in Lisbon. We were fortunate that the line wasn't long, as... More

It's wort if the row is not to long. I wait for 15 minutes. I was here before I visited the Castle. Its not cheap to take a trip to the "sky". If you will have a good view of the city go to the Castle.

Apparently this elevator was designed by a student of Mister Eiffel who designed the ... Eiffel Tower. This "ride to the Top" was a waste of my time. People line up to ride it to the scenic view but in Lisboa there are many better lookouts. I just don't see the interest. I experienced the let-down of an amazing potential... More

We spotted this whilst walking around the town, and I'd heard that it's a great viewing platform, with great panoramic views across the city. We decided to go up (it is included in a daily travel card, so it was essentially free - so why not!). There was a short queue for the lift, but we had a bit of... More

This attraction is truly unique with some history. I decided not to stand in the line at the base & pay 5 euros. My friend, who had visited Lisbon seversl times told me to just take the steps to the right, then walk up street to left to end of block, turn right 1 short block & right again up... More

Waited 40 minutes but was worth it as it is a very cheap attraction (5 euro pp) with great views of the city. Lifts are large and authentic like when it was first built/used.

I'm not actually sure what they wanted to achieve with this structure, it looks interesting from the distance, but when you get closer, it looks fragile and in bad condition. There is a netting around it, not sure if its to protect it from birds or from bits falling down on passers by. Queues are very long and move very... More

The view from the top platform is great, but we had to wait about an hour in line, in the sun. The line moves slowly and they only let a small number of people at the same time on to the platform.

The elevator is beautiful. I've waited out for 20 minutes to take the elevator. The issue is that there were restauration works and one could not get out once at the top of the elevator. But one still has to pay two trips: one upwards, the other one downwards. As long as the upper exit is closed, it is best... More

It may be Lisbon's answer to the Eiffel Tower but the wait wasn't worth it. Advertised as a means of getting to the higher part of the city and also having a cafe restaurant on the top we were very disappointed that, having paid 5 euros each for the lift, there was nothing at the top and no other exit....
