Great place to get some pictures of the statue and square. The square has that paving you fin in all the streets and it is a good place to take picture of it here. Nice when lit up at night too.

This lovely statue watches over Rossio square from above. A bird would stand on the head of the statue almost always, which makes a great (and hilarious) photo-op.

With the special masonry dominating the Plaza this statue of the former Portuguese Head of State towers majestically above. From this point numerous attractions radiate by foot.

The statue is so high off the ground, that you can hardly see any details, but I will take their word for it that it is indeed the likeness of Dom Pedro. In any event, it is certainly gets your attention, being so tall and in the middle of one of Lisbon's most delightful squares.

The Dom Pedro IV statue at the Rossio is on top of a high column. This king was proclaimed king in 1826. He also became the first king of the independent Brazil.

Looks impressive. The white colon and figure on background of blue sky lets feel this majesty. For me it will be one of symbol of Lisbon.
