This is the center of the city and most of the other attractions are at a walking distance from here. Lots of people and typical cafés.

This square is a great start point to visit Lisbon. It has many typical cafes and restaurants and it's close to Bairro Alto and to the Castle.

Rossio Street and Rossio square are visited by many people every day...smaller shops have all kinds of merchandise of varying quality. However it is also a,place to be very attentive of yor wallet and purse..pickpockets are around ! Restaurants are good, especially on the nearby streets serving typical portugese fish and seafood at inexpensove prices.

We arrived in Lisbon one week ago from Montreal Quebec, Canada. This city is superb. The streets, the buildings, the restaurants, everything went OK. We are in Portugal for 2 months and we plan to visit the country from south, Albufeira to Porto in the north. The condo we rented is superb. We live in the region of Olaias and... More

If you're in Lisbon on a warm/hot sunny day, then Rossio Square - though it's more of a rectangle - is an ideal place for a food and drink break. With numerous cafes, restaurants and bars on the square and in the adjoining streets, Rossio is one of the focal points in Lisbon. Despite this review showing we visited in... More

There is a great tourist information at the bottom of the square opening at 10am and there is a metro station in the square, handy if you are getting out and about. The square is ice with some lovely buildings however if you compare... More

The square is sourrounded by more splendor historical buildings of the city, including several fountaints. It is a favourite settlement for pigeons. It is a start of the big bd.Liberdade Northbound and the start or end of the lovely Augusta street Southbound. Here is the main railway station and from here you can view the St. George castle walls Eastward,... More

Nice area to chill out and people watch. On our first night in Lisbon we came down here and watched a French brass band play for hours. Was a great atmosphere! Gets very busy and you will no doubt be asked if you want drugs while you are sitting having your ice-cream, but a polite no thanks, sends them away.... More
