This square is located centrally and close to the train and metro stations. It a wide square that has an interesting design on the ground. As well as fountains and statues. I wish however that there were more things happening here like perhaps shops or even restaurants that look out into the square as it felt like it was missing... More

Hashish, cocaine...Hashish, Cocaine....Sunglasses. That's all you'll get from this square. Not impressive compared to lots of other cities, went passed it everyday as hotel was near by, nearly gave it 1 star

That's one hell of a title for a review, yes? It's the history nerd in me coming out. But it's true. This was once a place for public hangings. Now, it's a big old square in front of the train station with a McDonalds and a ton of guys roaming the edges trying to sell you weed or jewelry. At... More

Take some time to sit at the famous Cafe Suisse, take an espresso café and watch the world go by, and just about all the World comes through this lovely square. It’s recently been fully renovated and its one of the must not miss sights of Lisbon. Walk down the Avenida da Liberdade and you will find yourself in the... More

Close to Terreiro de Paco, this is a very nice square well refurbished with some old restaurants, the National Theatre, and easy access to "Chiado" and the beautiful Railway Station building. Always busy day and late night.

We had a nice walk through here, with the nice statue and sorroundings. I mention what I also wrote in the review for praca dos restaurantdores, the drug dealers. They were actually worse here and openly offered drugs to us multiple times. This was very annoying. And I would say that the reason they probably keep selling is because there... More

The Rossio is a square with alot going on. First te streets are filled with people. Pastry shop Suisa is located there and other unique shops and restaurants. At night on the weekends, there is some type of festival or concert being performed. Well worth a visit. Also the rossio provides great views of Castle St. JORGE and the Chiado

I did this on my first day in Lisbon. We saw Sao Domingos Church, Praca da Figueiera castle... too many places that I can't remember them. But it took about a half day. Regular shoes were fine. No climbing. Ancient churches that you won't want to miss. Just awesome! The Chiado, overlook of the city I enjoyed very much. Took... More

The Rossio Square, also known as Praca Dom Pedro IV, is one of the most beautiful and busiest squares of Lisbon. Rossio Square is the heart of the city, right in the center of downtown. It is a vibrant place of atmospheric cafes with outdoor sitting, great places to watch the world go by and admire the castle overlooking the... More

Good for photographs and best the junction to travel around Lisbon. We stayed at Marques de Pombal. Take the metro here everyday, then get on the old trams towards the Padrao dos descobromentos and Torros de Belem monuments. Also the best walk into Alfama, Bairro alto, Castle and the Lisbon lifts.
