My 9 year old son made us to take him there and we loved every bit of it, we had great time learning about various species. Make sure you plan to be in the Aquarium for over 3-4 hrs. The walk from the metro is about 10-15 min

When I visited here it was the most relaxing afternoon I had in the two months I spent in Portugal. I'm not a massive aquarium fan but the sheer size of the place was fantastic and the natural habitat that has been created is faultless. The main tank is stunning over so many floors and it was spectacular just sitting... More

Oceanario de Lisboa is worth a visit, with a lot of different animals in a nice environment, the only thing we missed was more information in English, especially all the quotes from Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, we were curious about what they meant.

We spent a morning here and loved it. The big tank is full of many fascinating fish: there are massive sharks, rays, colourful fish, starfish, sunfish, the list goes on. Then all the way round the rest of the place there are other smaller tanks with different creatures in them. Lots of informative facts and descriptions also in English and... More

Maybe I have expected too much, but it did not really leave me any extraordinary impression. An aquarium that does not differ from many others. Although the surroundings are awesome: loved the art and architecture!!!

Worth spending a whole morning or afternoon! On of the best seaquariums I've visited so far. It is close to a shopping mall where you can have lunch.

This aquarium is worth a visit as its main tank is one of the largest in Europe and in the world. They have 4 areas setup in it, one for each ocean. One could see few sharks, various other species of fish, penguins. Of special interest I would say is the "Indian Ocean" section with its coral reefs ... it... More
