Not much to see on the inside of the castle walls, but you are free to walk on the walls themselves, as well as around the perimeter. A few cafe's on site, nice to relax on a sunny day with a beverage. Amazing views of the city no matter where you are on the castle grounds. Peacocks roam the castle... More

Definitely worth the hike up (there's also the tram, but they were way too full). Nice place to walk around and enjoy the view. The museum is small, and not that interesting.

Spent a lazy 4 hours there, it has a reasonably priced cafe inside and lots walls to walk around, Ignore the reviews about taking the no28 tram, its not that high and also Lisbon has a great system of elevators built into the hill to save your legs, these are free!

This is "must see" place for visitors in Lisbon. You'll have the most beautiful panoramic view all over the city and bridges connecting Lisbon with its neighbors. You can also walk on the walls to get the best feeling of historical castle. While walking there, please do not miss an observatory of Leonardo da Vinci.

It was sunny when we visited the castle at early March. It was very windy, but the view of Lisbon is breathtaking. Given it's located probably at the highest point of Lisbon, it has 360 degree view of the city. It was fun to walk on the castle walls. The archeology site was interesting. I like the way they built... More

The point of visiting here is basically for the views but they are quite staggering and the castle grounds themselves are pretty extensive and it's pretty fun to explore the whole place. it might be a little bit pricey for what you get but when you compare it to skyscraper viewing decks in other cities where the views are indoors... Having heard so much about the castle, naturally, we had to go there. I was a little unsure at first having herd there's nothing really at the castle and yet you pay 7 euros 50. Anyway, we made our way on the tram and followed the steep hills. We arrived around half five in the evening and the sun was... More

This wonderful old castle is worth the trip to see the view over Lisbon as well as the remains of the castle and subsequent archaeological digs. There is also a museum and cafe with peacocks and peahens. take the time to climb the walls and walk around for even more stunning views. Could get very busy so we went early... More
