We had a fantastic time visiting the Cristo Rei. My friend and I are not religious, but wanted to experience a piece of Lisboa's history, and see a beautiful monument. We were so impressed! This is a large monument, with an elevator to take you to the top (for about 5 euro I believe, well worth it) to get some... More

A little difficult to get there, you have to cross the bridge and find your path through Almada, and the attraction is not so well signalized. But is worth the view, the bridge is fantastic, also whole Lisbon.

Take the ferry and the bus 101. If you like to walk - go by foot (approximately 30 Minutes, light hiking). The view all over Lisbon is fantastic.

Take the ferry from Lisbon, have a meal in Cacilhas, and hike up to Cristo Rei. Take water for the hike. There is no drinking fountain on the site. The restroom faucets are designed to prohibit filling a water bottle... but not the handicapped one. There is a cafe that sells water and snacks.. The site is free. There is... More

Just take the metro to Cais do Sodre in Lisbon and take a ticket to Cacilhas at the other side of the Tague at the boat terminal. Hours are posted clearly, and the boat runs frequently. Upon arrival We WALKED all the way to Cristo Rei and that was a long walk (> hour) and very steep (didn't regret it... More

The statue of Jesus is beautiful, it is a must to visit if you are in this area of Lisbon, an amazing experience even if you are not religious, the views around the terrace are exceptional, the best in the whole of Lisbon. We went by the municipal ferry and bus, there is an old sailing Frigate by the bus... More

It stands statuesque by the river and is a work of art, there is lift to the terrace at the top, which you have to pay for, but it is worth it.

Suffering from the fear of heights I've chosen to stay around while my husband was taking photos ... undoubtedly very special and unique. Nevertheless it was beautiful experience and I enjoyed every moment of it.

We took the ferry from Cais de Sodre and then went by taxi to the monument (journey very cheap at 6 Euros). The monument is absolutely stunning. Should definitely take the lift inside (only 4 Euros) which is super fast and very smooth and takes you to a large viewing area at the feet of the statue. The 360degree views... More
